Noticed on the bbc website, 85 minutes into the England v Latvia qualifier. England 54 shots on goal, Latvia 0. That one sided a match can't really benefit anyone can it?

Maybe I'm being unfair and it isn't a pointless exercise, but I'm not sure what either team would gain from it tbh. 58 shots by the final whistle, none in reply.

I remember England beating Luxembourg 9-0 back in the days of Luther Blissett, but I doubt they had 58 attempts at goal. I could be totally wrong of course.
