Anyone watching this from tonight? Possibly the nearest thing American sport has to a World Cup type event.

Being held in Indiana which is very useful on the time difference. Gonzaga heavy favourites and personally I have them down to win it in my bracket. Always a Cinderella though.

I will be. I live in CT and will be rooting for UCONN. We're a 7-seed, but now have our best player back so may surprise a few teams. But you're right, Gonzaga is really good this year and will probably win it.

I was wondering if there was any interest in the UK. I love March Madness. I think it may be the best sporting event in the world. Just the nature of basketball, in a single elimination tournament allows for shocking upsets that would not occur in the realm of modern day professional sports.

The Cinderella runs of teams from small schools going deep into the tournament, the buzzer beaters, etc. Great stuff.

Unfortunately, my team lost last night to UCLA in a game that ended at about 1am local lol

So I am going to be absolutely useless tonight.

If you are bored at work, and have no idea what any of this is all about, watch some of the compilations of best march madness moments on youtube. It's a rabbit hole I always lose a few hours in each year.

My bracket is 4/4 so far!

My cinderella is Loyola Chicago and they could a mouth-watering match against Illnois at some point.

A lot tipping Colgate to surprise this afternoon

Oral Roberts stole the headlines yesterday - 15 Seed beating Ohio St (2 seed)

Mouthwatering game tomorrow between Illinois and Loyola Chicago

A lot of people's brackets busted on that result I bet lol

That's the fun thing about the tournament, is the upsets. Unless of course , it's your team that's out ;)

In combination with North Texas, there was only something like 0.04% of brackets left!

As an avid watched of college football I have tried to get in to this but have found that my lack of any real basketball knowledge plus the fact I have no understanding of the background of any of these teams has made it really tough.

I see lots of buzz on social media and quite a few of the US based podcasts I listen to have have been talking about it which has piqued my interest so I will have to make more of an effort next year as it seems right up my street!

Saying that, NCAA sports, football and basketball in particular, seem massively exploitative of the athletes involved however there is very little I enjoy more than settling down for a big time college football game late on a Saturday evening which I suppose makes me part of the problem.

Well, well Oral Roberts beat the Gators of Florida! 15 seed into sweet 16 for the first time since Florida Gulf State’s famous run in 2013

Oregon State saw off Oklahoma last night too.
