What caused us to not get it done today?

It wasn't yesterday. We lost twelve games. TWELVE! It's mad when you think about it (and yes, awesome that we won twenty).

 

Even when we were 2-1 up we looked leggy and knackered which isn't a surprise with the size of the squad and how many games we've played within a huge injury crisis (that gets nowhere near the same amount of column inches as Liverpool's does)

 

We're not a top four side yet, but we're going about becoming one the right way.  Fifth two years in a row for a club of our size is astonishing, especially when we won the league in 2016 and essentially annoyed all the "big" clubs into trying to keep us out of the upper echelons forever.

 

I don't think we'll necessarily challenge for top four again next season but we won't be in the relegation mix and I would have snapped your hand off for a few years of that a decade ago.

Amazes me that Kasper escapes so much criticism. Had he not pushed the ball into his own net to make it 2-2 then we wouldn't have had to leave so many gaps at the back because we at that point we had to go for it. Thus they got 2 more goals on the break.

Yes of course I would. Nothing wrong with another FA cup win.

 

Assuming we can hold onto our best and with the names mentioned as coming in I think we could be seriously challenging for the title again.

The one thing we have in our favor as we continue to build is there's no big Ego's in our squad.

Just a hard working group of players giving their best and that's all I ask for.

He's certainly not beyond criticism, Many of us have criticized him for not coming for crosses into his Box.  It's something he's been working on as he's been doing better recently.

Yesterday he came out but got his timing wrong.  I just hope it doesn't dent his confidence and he goes back to staying on his line.

I think his Heroics last week in the final has earned him a few free passes. He certainly used one yesterday.

Yeah - last week he was Manuel Neuer, this week he was Manuel from Fawlty Towers. 

In general think we blew it at Stamford Bridge. Perez babbooned it wide, and as Paul Hawksbee said; 'There goes your Champions League,  right there!'

From a squad options point of view we have been running on empty for some time... the loss of if with justin and barnes sealed it.
