GB have won a few golds already. Just watched Tully Kearney smash the world record by 2s in the S5 swimming finals.

Ellie Simmonds about to take part in the SM6 swimming.

Anyone else watching?

I’ve been watching yes, it’s been a great start to the games! Some of the medal hopefuls coming good!

I get a bit emotional watching the Paralympics, and that’s not in a patronising way at all, but the the athletes who take part are just out of this world…. I get goosebumps watching them perform, incredible human beings.

Just watching the wheelchair rugby final. GB won.

Jim Roberts is phenomenal. I hope he gets some recognition after this from the wider sporting world. He just breezes past the opposition.

It was fantastic ... I reckon that's now my favourite paralympic event!

It had everything ... passion, skill, physical challenges and it's really tactical.

Superb performance by our boys (and girls).

I love the paralympics.

Once you "ignore" their disability (as I hope they would want me to), you can just enjoy it for what it is.    Top class competition played by amazing athletes.   I cheer on GB just as I would do in the Olympics.

The only disappointing thing, is that it still doesn't seem to feature in the public's consciousness as much as I think it deserves to.

Think Channel 4 did a good job but it's on the BBC for example.

People were on Twitter asking why hadn't the Beeb got coverage and not even aware channel 4 had.

I know that technically Channel 4 had more coverage than BBC with their multiple channels available online, but I actually found BBC coverage better in terms of giving an overall snapshot of what was happening.

Jesus wept. Channel 4 have only had the rights to the Paralympics since London 2012. And if these people can't even manage a simple Google search to find out who is showing it then I've got no sympathy.
