Questions regardless, we'd signed two centre backs the year before I'm guessing with the idea of Maguire likely moving on, Soyuncu turned out to be fine as well, so selling Maguire was hardly a huge negative really.

I didn’t say selling Maguire was a huge negative. It was actually really positive business for the club. Exactly why should and should’ve continue doing.

The point I was trying to make as a club, putting aside Soyuncu and Benkovic the season before or how it turned out. The club were actively enquiring about Ake, about Tarkowski post selling Maguire. Which suggests internal conversations were that they needed someone. The manner in which it was done, despite the Maguire deal being the worst kept secret of the window was amateurish.

Yeah I get your initial point you were trying to make and that you're playing devils advocate a bit, but I don't think it really backs up Rodgers

We should be a case study to businesses to truly evaluate who is responsible for your achievements.

Letting our fanbase accept the narrative it was all down to Vichai and Top and the owners having blond loyalty in Rudkin is what's led us here.

I’d disagree  calling some of those players ‘good’. Gary mills, and Tommy Wright I would, but not necessarily the others . David Kelly for example only played for us for one season and only score like  6 or 7 goals.. but as happens I don’t think pleat signed Tommy wright, but he played him of course..

We signed Nicky Cross for 60k scored some important goals sold him for 150k Peter Weir similar .David Kelly played more then one season and earned  a big money move to Newcastle .David Oldfield played over 200 games for the club  and yes Tommy Wright was signed by Pleat as was cult hero Kevin Rooster Russell

Forgot to Inc Tony James another decent Pleat  signing and scored one of the most important goals in the club's history. Not saying Pleat was a good manager for Leicester but most of his signings were successful
