Funny how brendan has gone to from about 55 percent of foxestalkers wanting him out to about 4 percent shows how fickle we are.

Or that "we" go with performance and results rather than just obdurate sentiment

I thought we were arguably better in the cup game. The major positive difference is that we had Choudhury and KDH doing a great job tracking runners while Soumare was being a decent anchor as well. Offensively we were quite stunted though, bar a couple of actions first half and Lookman's goal.

It's exactly how we should play against these top sides even without our injury issues. Sit back, concede possession and look to hit them on the break. The diamond and leaving 2 up top really suits us in doing that and gives us a way out to look to counter. Tactically superb from Brendan Rodgers and it's why we've won yesterday.

But we could and probably should have lost yesterday. We could and should have won in the cup game. It's not like we didn't concede possession in the cup game or against Man City, we did, but we also looked far more dangerous going forward. As I said, the telling difference is that we were far better defensively yesterday (coupled with Liverpool's profligacy).

I PERSONALLY SAY IF A MANAGER LOSES A GAME, YOU SACK HIM.

IF HE WINS ONE, BUILD A STATUE OUTSIDE THE GROUND.

IT'S JUST COMMEN SENSE.
