Brendan has made lots of mistakes this season, this is not deniable ie: zonal marking, being too defensive, etc. but tonight he got everything spot on.it was a long 90 minutes but everything fell in to place. Superb all round

The only player who I thought was poor tonight was Soumare. He was decent defensively but so many times his useless passing put us under unnecessary pressure.

im one of those that changed their mind. i voted brodge leave in the last 2 poles. the first time i have done so.  today i changed that because he changed. we defended corners, looked organised and applied pressure and worked hard. thats i wanted to see. that he would change it. i think we all knew this weakened team was more capable than it was showing itself to be.

1st player Tielemans went straight up to when he came on and obviously had some encouraging words for him as I noticed a big change in him from that point on.

People forgot Nacho was our best player until he was subbed. Rated 6.8 and one of the lowest scores demonstrably shows the short memories of fans. With the rest of the game included, KDH became the best player but Nacho’s rating should not be much behind.

A heroic collective performance when I didn’t think we had it in us.  Nevertheless a couple guys were mediocre.  No shame in being honest.

The two local lads were out of this world tonight Thomas and KDH were bloody everywhere and fully deserve to split the motm award. 
Kasper also made 3 world class saves tonight.

Agreed! Although if Kasper doesn't make the saves, we'd be looking at a workmanlike defeat. Or if Lookman didn't bring a badly needed spark of inspiration it would have been a draw at best. We basically offered nothing going forward after 60 mins. Odd game to judge as it was fantastic under the circumstances, but we played better for an hour in the cup game.
