Ajax Treesdown Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 IF we get relegated to League 1 then the chances of us going out of existence are extremely high! We are are on the fast track to nowhere right now! A bunch of crap, overpaid s**t!
Louise Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 administration wasn't that bad a time, we were flying high in the league at the time, which softened the blow considerably, and we were never realistically going to go out of existance being such a big club Deary me. We were 24 hours away.
Milky Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 Deary me. We were 24 hours away. it was never going to happen, never going to happen. there are enough leicester fans around to prevent it from happening, even if it did get really really close to happening, i'm sure every leicester fan would have given some money each. it was never going to happen, not even lower league clubs have gone yet! they are in worse positions that us! we were never gonna be the first.

We were one game away! I can't remember the team but we had a game that was in danger of being postponed or was it a replay i can't remember but anyway if this game hadn't gone ahead we would have been finished. Someone may be able to enlighten you more on the details.

How long have you been a Leicester fan? Fans did put money into their pockets, Foxes Trust anyone? We were 24 hours away before the consortium came in, that is real, you can't just say 'oh it wouldn't have really happened' because it almost did.

We were 24 hours away before the consortium came in, that is real, you can't just say 'oh it wouldn't have really happened' because it almost did. i've been a leicester fan all my life, i know everything there is too know about leicester city football club so don't give me that shit. YOU'VE JUST PROVED MY POINT . "A CONSORTIUM CAME IN" that is exactly my point, we have a huge fan base, people will rescue up whatever happens. . we will never go out of existance.
Louise Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 This is crazy, hopefully Foxes Trust will come online soon with the details as I can't remember all the specifics.
Milky Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 , you know i'm right. there will always be a consortium round the corner to rescue leicester city football club. we have some very wealthy fans. we were never going to go bust, everyone would have given every thing they could to save the club. we were never gonna be the first
Mark Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 we have some very wealthy fans. That WERE contacted when we were in desperate need, they was NOT interested. This has been confirmed by the Foxes Trust. Got it?
Head Honcho Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 bullshit, we were never gonna go out of existance, we are too big a club. we would have found a way no matter how desperate. everyone would have given whatever they could to keep us going, we have a huge fan base. ........but lower league clubs do not have the debt that we had. Were you in a coma or something. It was common knowledge that we were one game away from extinction. It's Muppets like you that think we have a devine right to be in the Premiership. Our debt was so great that the club was being run literally day by day not knowing if the gates would be locked in the morning.
Milky Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 That WERE contacted when we were in desperate need, they was NOT interested. This has been confirmed by the Foxes Trust. Got it? and when they were contacted some people came up trumps for us. can u imagine leicester city football club being extinct? it won't happen, because people who love the club will work unbelievably hard to save it, just like they did a couple of years ago. if we were a small club then it could happen, but we are a big club with far too many people who love this club. i appreciate we came close, but we came out fighting as we were always going to do

Milky Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 It was common knowledge that we were one game away from extinction. look, i appreciate we were very close, very very close, but we were never gonna be the first cus we have such great support. and i don't think we have a devine right to be in the premiership, you don't need to get personnel, i'm as bigger leicester fan as you will get, i know everything about the club. you have to earn the right to be in the top flight, we've spent just as much time outside the top flight than in it during my time as a fan.
Mark Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 Do you really know everything? Don't question him guys we've got an expect here.
Milky Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 you don't have to get personnel just because you don't agree with the other side of an argument. can't u have a proper mature debate? i thought that's what forums are all about.
Katy Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 and when they were contacted some people came up trumps for us. can u imagine leicester city football club being extinct? it won't happen, because people who love the club will work unbelievably hard to save it, just like they did a couple of years ago. if we were a small club then it could happen, but we are a big club with far too many people who love this club. i appreciate we came close, but we came out fighting as we were always going to do Tell that to Charlton and Middlesborough, all AFCs now due to going out of business, not particularly small clubs as I remember.
Milky Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 Tell that to Charlton and Middlesborough, all AFCs now due to going out of business, not particularly small clubs as I remember. yes, good point, but they are still here fortunately Do you really know everything? Don't question him guys we've got an expect here. just because my opinions differ from the moderators of this site, u don't have to gang up on me and make immature comments. shame on you. you should be trying to push your side of the argument to try and convince me that your point is correct. i'm open to others views, i am willing to listen and mould my opinions accordingly. some of you guys obviously can't
Katy Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 yes, good point, but they are still here fortunately Only just, Leicester AFC could be a possibility IF we get relegated.
Milky Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 well, charlton were unbelievable close, the gates were locked and parts of the stadium were being burnt on the pitch. curbishley took over at that time and has done an unbelievable job.

Do you understand that once the company name of Leicester City Football Club is made Bankrupt that name can never be used as a company name ever again. Do you think it would be the same if we were now called Leicester AFC cause I dont.
Katy Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 well, charlton were unbelievable close, the gates were locked and parts of the stadium were being burnt on the pitch. curbishley took over at that time and has done an unbelievable job. Yep and the fans practically rebuilt the Valley themselves. I think fans at any club and at whatever level would do the exact same thing to help their club stay alive, whatever our situation at the moment the passion and love for the club will always be there, even the stay-aways.

Do you think it would be the same if we were now called Leicester AFC cause I dont. i appreciate what you are trying to tell me, don't worry i know, i'm not ignorant to the facts, i wouldn't of insulting you all by not knowing the ins and outs of the case. i have studied alot about business so i understand those points you have made. i just strongly believe that the fans of this great club hold such great power, and i always had great faith that we would pull through. at least katassi is willing to debate things in a proper fashion, i think some of you could learn from it. there is no need to get personnel.
Anish Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 You're the one getting arrogant and think you know it all. Do you ****. Ooh wow you studied business at GCSE/A-Level/degree or whatever, that doesn't make you an expert. When were you last in charge of a multi-million pound business? In fact, how much pratical experience do you have of any business and going into administration. Stop talking like you're an expert and nobody will get personal. The facts have been stated time and time again, well before you even joined this forum. Your attitude is blase, 'there'll always be somebody to rescue us'. Nonsense, there's no guarantees in life and certainly not in football. The longer we stick behind Levein the more I fear for us.
