My contact at the club says Rudkin had a self imposed embargo on going on the internet because he didn’t want to have Stranger Things spoiled. He’s bingeing the 4th season as we speak and moves will happen after he’s done.

Also my contact says the club are really annoyed at randomers on social media for making shit up.

This transfer window reminds me so far of the summer 2013/14 when we had to trim the wages before buying for ffp, really boring window but managed to shift beckford off to Bolton and get rid of a few others then mainly picked up frees like bakoyoko, wesil, Hammond and Taylor-fletcher, we went on to rip the championship a new one that season!

Yep sure is but having done my research it appears as though our first signing in 2020/21 was Timothy Castagne at the beginning of September- obviously deadline day - but surely that can’t be right?

...no signing in June is pretty much a first for us!!!

You can't totally blame people for being concerned. There was a lot of talk about a rebuild, largely from the manager, that we needed a rebuild and were going to be busy this summer.

Rodgers is no fool. It's a quite good way for him to take pressure off himself. An overhaul was never likely yet if things go sour this season he's already got his excuse lined up.

Say whatever you want about X or Y not being official but we knew Soumare was coming for months last year. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if there was still nothing in two weeks.

There's definitely a tendency to overrate other teams and their business mind you. Every year you hear this myth that the league is going to be better next season and it never truly comes into fruition.

But we feel really quite stagnant at this point. Doing nothing in a summer might not kill us next season but it will hurt us in future. Just look what happened to Tottenham under Pochettino. Total burnout in the end even if it took a while to really kick in.

It's just not impressive.

As long as we have new players in before the pre season I'll be happy, and we've got about a month before that.

Still trouble with this blooming gate that won't let anyone in or out. Latest reports are that people are hovering around with oil cans and WD40 but still no definite progress.
