Totally. It’s not just Congerton though - we’ve dropped the ball when it comes to long term strategy. For example, a few years back we’d have our Youri replacement ready to go and we’d have the same contingency with Fofana/Maddison. You look how well we did even with NDidi and Maguire 
 

In handing over too much control to Rodgers, the club have collectively stopped doing what they were so good at.

we hv only had a replacement ready once…maguire>soyuncu. mahrez has no replacement and drinkwater replacement couldnt play for 6 months it was that ready

If we didn't have the replacement ready, we certainly went out and just got the problem sorted.
