We've been blessed with European football, two fifth place finishes and trophies.

The fans will want the same...

we want a club to be proud of first and foremost. Not the laughing stock it is now, not all of that is Rodgers fault but a big chunk is IMO.

Firstly, I'm angry right now after today. We controlled the game went 1-0 up then shït it.

On another note, I don't think we can sack Brendan.

We sell Fofana for £80/£85m what ever the fee may be then sack Rodgers.

We owe 20% of the profits to St Ettiene then we would owe Rodgers £30m. That's is practically that money gone.

Then adding to that, who takes the job? Who could we get that is good enough to turn us around and meet or expectations?

We’re all angry.

You pose different questions. Re the Wes sale we could look to a cash and player structure to cap the return to St Etienne. We need 2/3 players so exploring a couple of permanent/ loan deals may work out best.

re potential incoming Managers there are plenty who would take it - Dyche for one. Whether us as fans would want him (probably not) or agree on any other candidate is another matter.

however we can’t let Rodgers wages stop us making the change if it is the right decision.

We  actually only have to pay him for 12 months (£10m), not the full 3 years. Correct?

I would agree with this one unless he has a contract like lampard did whereby he was paid until he found another job. I'm sure that was over 12 months?

The club is in a catch 22 scenario and no where to go.

In which case, any move at all gets us somewhere. I have my preference as I don't think BR can change. This team makes the same mistakes again and again trying to play his brand of football, and he blames everyone else for it.

Please Top and Susan sort this mess out.  Rogers, Rudkin and the Recruitment Team have screwed us. That is all we ask. We are not entitled for success, but we need our Club to be respected. Fofana is taking the p*ss and now regrettable are the Coaching team. The Recruitment Team have definitely outstayed their welcome.

Top and Susan, the true fans are behind you (not all on FT). Please do something.

Effectively sacking him.

Don’t have to pay him off, wait for someone else to come in. Don’t need compensation; doesn’t cost us inordinate amount of money

Who is likely to come in?? That’s the problem. His stock has sunk like the Titanic.

According to Piper on RL, he thinks Rodgers has got the arse because the "refresh" he wanted at the end of last season hasn't materialised because the owners haven't got the money to fund it to any degree that would attract the players he wants. Hence the lack of enthusiasm from pitch-side. The man couldn't even be bothered to pick up a ball that went out for city throw in right next to him. Head down, hands in pockets. He's being petulant and unprofessional. He left (got sacked by) Celtic because they wouldn't fund transfers that would match his ambitions. Same thing is happening here.

We’re at a point where pretty much anyone would do a better job. Honestly would rather get Dyche in than carry on with Rodgers

We can pay him out of Fofana's record transfer fee.

We'll still be making a decent profit out of him and can get rid of Brendan Rogers as well.

Still an ideal situation.

Without paying him off in a lump sum though, then it’s up to him if he wants to take another job

I can’t believe even now people are questioning who could replace him, the bar isn’t even that high anymore.

Absolutely anyone that can shove a rocket up a few arses and get the dressing room motivated. You’re bang on, the bars incredibly low.

How has the club got itself into a position that it can’t afford to sack a manager whose dragging it down!

Suggest they find that £30m sharpish before he drags us down to championship otherwise it’s 100s of millions gone

To a certain degree yes and I guess he must have the final say on who is signed. I will never understand Bertrand or Vestergaard but maybe he was poorly advised by the recruiting staff and scouts. I can't imagine he goes to see every potential signing in action, but rather is influenced by the staff he relies on, If their judgement is shite, it's them that are responsible.

That said, it's BR who is responsible for playing/not playing those players that under-perform week after week, such as Amartey.

But who would want to come here? We need to come off our pedastal as we're likely to end up with someone like Dyche

Firmly believe Dyche could do a better job right now than Brendan. I think people are overestimating Brendans talents by quite some way to be honest. Let's be clear, he is nowhere near the levels of Pep, Klopp etc and I'd say there is a fair few managers in the Prem (let alone other leagues/countries who are better than he is and earning far less money. The very idea that Brendan has ever even been close to an elite manager is laughable. He's had some great spells with some decent clubs. Scotland doesn't count because my dead gran could have won titles with Celtic at the time he was there, but he isn't the serial winner that Celtic makes him look like he is. Far from it.
