If We’d have just sacked him without fining him then everything would have been ok. Schoolboy error by us.

Yes. It crossed the custody threshold, but was suspended. It’s my personal view, I am embarrassed that he remained at the club. I don’t blame others for having different views. This is a very sensitive subject for people. I can’t talk too much because I have never been a victim of domestic assault or assault. I speak as someone who wants the best role models representing my city. My view is incredibly idealistic and not practical a lot of the time, but I believe Danny Simpson should have and could have easily been sacked. 2

If I remember, I think there was more too it than just us not sacking him.. I don’t remember 100% but I think she didn’t want us to sack him as she would have lost out financially on the money he was paying her… don’t quote me verbatim on that one but it was something similar..

Probation should have started from that point. I am saddened when I see his name, with our legends of 2015/2016. Would he have been sacked in an everyday normal job though? If it had happened while doing club duties, as in the Dennis Wise attack on Callum Davidson, then I'm assuming the club would be within their rights to sack him, but in his own personal time away from club duties, probably not so easy. They could of course had put him on the transfer list, and asked the manager not to pick him though, but sacking him may have been difficult legally.

He didn’t according to the recent BSLB podcast. He attempted too but it was laughed off legally 1

Just out of interest, do you think Vardy should have been sacked for racial abuse? 1
