Soumare and Tielemans

I would probably play Daka in that system under instructions to run like a **** for an hour. I think Liverpool are suspect if they are pressed, although Klopp has sorted a lot of their issues out. 

 

I used to love the guy, but really what is the point playing him currently? What aspect of his game would you give him more than 5 out of 10 for, or at least wouldn't leave me not-even-half jokingly talking about using Souttar instead?

 

On that note... someone got laughed down recently for suggesting it outright, but I've got away with just asking a not really tongue in cheek question before (about Fofana, to no response), which I'm going to do again... what do we think would happen (purely in a DM sense, forget what it does to the defence) if we replaced Ndidi with Soyuncu?

 

And before you laugh, we've tried it the other way round (albeit under duress), and I like to I think it was fairly obvious that moving a midfielder with only a vague sense of where his legs end and minimal practice playing offside into a CB berth would only be something we'd do if forced. 

 

Is there something 'special' about the DM role that would preclude an otherwise suitable CB stepping up?

Soumare has looked strong in recent weeks when allowed to play quickly. But since Maddison has come into the side he slows us down to a standstill and then we all moan at Soumare when he's pressed quickly. Leeds away highlighted this well, I thought Soumare was really good, always looking to play one touch....But you've got Maddison and Tielemans who can't play at a high pace because athletically they're awful, so slow us down all the time.

 

Tielemans has been a dead loss since we signed him permanently. His average performances have been dreadful.

...he is definitely not a DM, he would better work within a midfield 3, where someone else does all the running and covers defensive lines!!!

We seem to have him up around the opponent's box as opposed to dropping to cover counters after he has transitioned our original play.

Bench them both. How tielemans has been made captain, when he's off in the summer, makes no sense! It's not like its his Swan song season and he's moving down a division

I thought we'd worked out that Soumare isnt a CDM or a destroyer, never has been, did the management not get this info??.  He played better with N'didi the other week, why'd we change that? 

If anyone I'd of dropped Tielemans and played Mendy in there, or KDH or anyone from the academy who looks remotely interested in tracking, pressing and showing for the ball.

YOURI , well what can I say the bloke has no speed and he has lost the ability to go forward , spends most of his time going backwards , doesn’t protect the ball as well as he should do , he will be the NEW drinkwater where ever he goes when they realise he is not as good as he thinks he is , suggest YOURI u buy a pillow as u might spent lots of time on the bench 

 

soumare , not sure what he is good at he’s not a defensive player and he is NOT a attacking midfielder, he gets robbed of the ball more than he should , is a very average player
