The fourth goal yesterday really annoys me re: Tielemans. But to be honest, I could pick the second for Soumare or the fifth for Maddison. That is a lack of hunger defensively and to be honest has been an issue for us for two years now. Many times last year, just that extra push, organisation has cost us goals and they were mistakes which we didnt eradicate. They are now habits.

That's a hell of an indictment since Barry died five years ago. You'd have one Chuckle Brother - Paul - in their place.

Does Evans have a good leg? I mean, i'd like change but Evans hasn't been able to play 10 minutes without breaking down. I really doubt he's going to save the season.

It always has been suicidal football since Smith has been here, he's picked lots of attackers and left our midfield open. Soumare, I don't know his best position as I don't watch French football, but he is not a defensive midfielder and niether is Tielemens. I don't see how Smith can think they both work together.

The midfield is the worst from a defensive point of view I've ever seen at this level. We must be an absolute dream to play against.

 

The defence is bad but they're so exposed it's unreal.

Two of the reasons we'll get absolutely spanked by Newcastle. And Liverpool no doubt. 

 

Unless there's a defensive mid who's job it is to anchor the midfield, protect and cover for the defence then yes this combination will not work. 

 

The likes of Gakpo, Jota, Nunez, Salah, Guimaraes, Almiron, Wilson, Isak, Joelinton will have field days in the next 2 weeks against us.
