Unforgivable complacency and incompetence from everyone in positions of responsibility and influence at the club… and, furthermore, complicit acceptance from lots of holier than thou happy clapper fans.

But mainly of course keeping on Rodgers so long past his ‘use by’ date that he stank the place out.

Training at a luxury holiday camp every day (except when the players were given a week off during the last international break) hasn't helped. Nor has the rise of well-run, mean and lean smaller clubs like Brentford, who btw did the double over Man City!

Twenty minutes or so after the match I went onto the LCFC website the latest news was not relegation but "season ticket price feeze" says it all - denial

Correct. Think some of the fans are an issue too, they became complacent too like the club. Look at the incredible support that the likes of Forest had at home, the club and fans had more hunger to stay in the PL.

But we might have got away with it if we’d bought a good goalkeeper. Such a fundamental that the club screwed up on.

Vichai dying followed by a global pandemic, culminating in a self absorbed manager destroying the best team we've ever had. Should have been sacked early doors but a hierarchical system in disarray along with a grieving son was never gonna result in on point decision making.

Man City's CL ban being overturned by CAS. 5th would have qualified both seasons. We were robbed of the income it would have brought and thus were unable to keep up without breaking FFP rules.

The same rules that Everton have broken.

We have a stronger legal case than Sheffield United over Tevez IMO. I hope we pursue it when the PL finally acts over those two parasites.

We would surely have got the extra 2 points with Schmeichel still at the club. If this decision was based on FFP then you can only blame that for our downfall. Obviously any bad decisions on player recruitment and contracts left us in FFP peril so these must be blamed too.

The 'we'll be fine' attitude that Rogers instilled into the players also cost us massively.

We were literally sleep walking towards relegation all season until it was too late.
