Given that we're effectively playing with three centre backs and 1 inverted FB

depth:

CB

1. Faes, Coady, Doyle

2. Justin, vestergaard, suttar,

3. Ndidi, hamza, nelson

FB

1. Ricardo

2. Hamza

3. Justin

granted the drop off is a little sharp but at this level we really shouldn't struggle with our defenders.

Not really disagreeing, but at present,we have NO proof there is or will be a sharp drop off.It maybe in a few months time the various “ triangles” might have one or two of the unexpected taking the major roles..I can well see by November we have a flexable rotation of the above mentioned.

Happy generally with the transfer window, incomings and outgoings. However, and I've put this in many topics today, our strikers need to show up, and I don't mean in the Carabao Cup. Daka is not in Enzo's plans, Nacho seems to be more selfish than usual, and Vardy is ineffective.

Unless Cannon fires regularly, or helps set up more goalscoring chances, I'm not that confident of promotion this season. We have mostly got away with it, but finally hit a stumbling block in the form of lack of goals. Fearful that this could be a season-long problem.

I know it's reactionary but I'm still worried we have little creativity in midfield, none of them seem comfortable running with the ball in the 8 position.

Roberto Pereyra funnily enough had one of his best seasons last year and is somehow without a club. With the Turkish window still open I'd still not be against moving Iheanacho and Ndidi on and looking at someone like Pereyra or Soriano.

I think we do have it now, but that first 50 minutes was void of it.

Had we started the game with the 11 that finished I don’t think you’d be feeling that way.

This ndidi experiment needs to end!

Yeah maybe so, I'm torn as I don't think Ndidi is playing badly but against teams with a low block, we have to be so dynamic from the wingers and 8's and 1st half it was too pedestrian.

I'm concerned even Casadei isn't creative enough on the ball to pick teams apart and KDH just gets worse and worse. Fatawu and Mavididi providing pace and possibly McAteer as an 8 might make things a little more direct.

I think overall i’m very happy, we have so much depth.

Perhaps we were one creative option away from a top window in terms of incomings.

I think between yunus and abdul we will have a very strong right hand side.  I’m hoping maresca is a little more flexible with formations and considers trying out:

        nacho/cannon/vardy

mavididi       yunus.         fatawu

That extra creative body would be devastating. But perhaps it’s too wishful to think he might tinker.

There’s no real area of weakness in the squad right now, it’s a case of how we make things all tick. I’m not 100% sold on this philosophy but willing to give it time
