Sly Posted 5 May 2024 Posted 5 May 2024 https://dailycannon.com/2024/05/amani-richards-leicester-exit/ Former Arsenal academy striker Amani Richards looks to be on the move again this summer, with a number of clubs interested in his signature. The Evening Standard report that Brentford, QPR, Sunderland, and clubs in Germany, Belgium, and Denmark are all interested in former Arsenal academy forward Amani Richards this summer. The teenager currently plays his football for Leicester City, having joined the Foxes from Arsenal back in early 2022. But he’ll be out of contract again this summer, and he’s pushing to move on. Leicester were keen to keep the youngster, pushing to extend his contract. Ideally, they’d still like him to renew. But the player’s desire to play first-team football and the lack of opportunities to do so with his current club have led to him running down his deal instead.
JK23Fox Posted 5 May 2024 Posted 5 May 2024 (edited) Amani Richards is a great young player. It's another Trey Nyoni scenario Edited 5 May 2024 by JK23Fox 1
DesertFox Posted 5 May 2024 Posted 5 May 2024 Wasn't it rumored we spent over a million on him? Total waste of money. We're really shit at this.

I was speaking to someone recently who as a relative in the academy and they were saying that the club don’t like loaning players out and block loan moves. Seems like madness as surely they’ll only benefit from playing first team football.

Id question the motivation of players who’re 21 and are happy to play academy football at bigger clubs rather then go out on loan and play mens football
Claudio Fannieri Posted 6 May 2024 Posted 6 May 2024 What this season has shown, is that Enzo is more than happy to utilise players from the academy and promote them to be part of both 1st team training and squads, so whilst Richards may some potential he hasn’t yet hit the levels Enzo expects for him to be in consideration. If that means he leaves then so be it, if we offer a contract does this mean we are entitled to some level of compensation?
