I think Will Alves should join you lot on loan

Loan deals between our clubs weren't exactly a succes in the past :)

I know, but your attack hasn’t been the greatest of late so would be worth a go

Fourteen goals in our last ten official games, cup and league combined. Not fantastic, but also not horrible. Whilst I appreciate the idea, I think we have plenty of attacking players who have already shown more than him on the professional stage, it's one position where we are definitely not lacking (and will probably even recover our best player, Maertens in the next few weeks, making competition even fiercer).

Maybe you guys should loan some of our youngsters, seems like you could do with some improvement as well. :D

Five mil and he's yours! Great lad, good at holding the ball but can't score a goal for the life of him.

Absurdly missed opportunity yesterday. We were the better team (or the least worst, depending on how you look at it) for the entire game, but couldn't find the back of the net and then got a soft pen against in the 96st (!) minute after only four minutes were added.

Great 2-0 win over last placed Beerschot, sees us into 11th place now, four points clear of the relegation playdowns and five points off the championship playoffs. Makes it extra sour that we lost one/three points last weekend, which would have seen us propel up to 7th..

Short winter break now, after which we play away at Club Bruges in the cup on 7/1, then go to league leaders Genk on 11/1 and travel to in form Union the week after. And then it's two home games. If we pick up 5 points from those games, we'll already have more than at the end of the regular season last year, with six games to go so I'm very confident that we'll avoid the playdowns and finish somewhere between spot 8 and 12, unless we do some real magic during the winter window.

At the end of the current season! :D

Always interesting to read about Leuven in the Jupiler Pro league, in part because it's been a pretty successful transfer market for us this season with Bilal El-Khannouss.

Are there any similarly talented right-backs, left-backs or wingers we need to consider?

Do you need a goalkeeper?

We have this upcoming bloke called Danny Ward.

Skov Olson is a bit overrated in my opinion. He'll show flashes of brilliance one week and then be completely invisible for the next 5 games.

Skov has some serious mentality issuses, also the main reason why he's still playing for Club Brugge and hasn't been able to secure a move to a bigger league. Tolu could be good but feels like an Onuachu story, who has a similar profile, scored loads of goals for Genk but now can't even get off the bench at Southampton.

At right back, El Ouahdi (same club as Bilal) is imo the one to watch. Only 23, moved from just promoted RWDM to Genk in the summer of 2023, and has made some stellar progress. Technically decent, great mentality and an amazing amount of volume. For me by far the best one in the league.

Zakaria El Ouahdi - Player profile 24/25 | Transfermarkt

On the left, De Cuyper from Club Brugge is probably the best one. Excellent crosser, great technicals, another one with a solid mentality and a bit of a set piece specialist as well. Six caps for Belgium and recently scored his first goal against Italy.

Maxim De Cuyper - Player profile 24/25 | Transfermarkt

Less sure about the wing. I really like Tzolis from Club Brugge personally. When it comes to young potentials yet to break through, I believe Tristan Degreef from Anderlecht is the one to watch. And if you're looking for a striker, I believe Promise David from Union could very well be their next Victor Boniface.

How is Dolberg doing these days? Seems to have found his mojo a bit again.

Also, Skov Olsen is very inconsistent as you say. I'm not too impressed myself.

Any good centrebacks? Ideally better than Wout Faes/Conor Coady/Vestergaard.

I've heard Rein Van Helden and Emin Bayram might be good options but it's hard to tell whether players are Premier League level or not.

When he turns up (which is quite often lately) an absolute baller of a striker and probably one of, if not the best in Belgium. Still has his occasional games where he just disappears though, like recently in Genk and against us at the start of December.

Van Helden has potential but the step up to Premier League football would be far too big for him imo. Bayram's probably better at this point, still don't get why Galatasaray let him leave.

Either way, there are quite a few CB's that are further ahead in terms of development, like Ordonez (Club Brugge), Zeno Van den Bosch (Antwerp) or Sadick (Genk).
