What do other folks think? I think it has already got very ugly very quickly and whatever we do or say isn't going to alter the situation. 1

I have friends and family who’ve been working intermittently in Palestine and Yemen for a few years. I can only imagine the horror they've experienced. Depressing, too, yes. 4 minutes ago, David Hankey said: I think it has already got very ugly very quickly and whatever we do or say isn't going to alter the situation. Fair to say. I'll think about it a bit more. 1

What do other folks think? Tough to discuss something that has so little verified information available you’re either using Israeli govt info or Hamas info - most people would have issues on one or both of these as sources. a regional discussion based on political/military strategy might be less stressful. 1

I would agree, but then I also think that discussion has been pretty much worked out by the theorists. It's just the practice and/or the likelihood of each outcome is the only real source of discussion.
HighPeakFox Posted 31 August 2024 Posted 31 August 2024 (edited) I would politely request that, in the same spirit of limiting topics due to mental health reasons in this section, that the same consideration be given to the main forum. We are all wanting the team to do well, but thread after thread of woe and finding new angles of self-pity and anger surely does none of us any good - I for one find it very difficult. I know some might think 'then don't read it', but I would argue that the main reason for this forum's existence needs to be for everyone, not just those seemingly trying to outdo one another in their negative assessments. Couldn't agree more, HPF.
