Funny, coming home on Friday, knowing i had seen Vardy score at home yet again was enough to put a smile on my face. I found it hard to be completely pissed off knowing i had seen it. 

 

Every goal from this guy is still a treasure. And unless there is a complete disaster, i will be there to see his 100th at home.

The fact he’s on 194 goals in total for us and it’s pretty evenly spread home and away just reiterates that point.

Consider that Vardy's goals have largely been in the top flight too.

 

An underrated striker, even now I think some people underrated how good he has been. He's never in the conversation about top PL strikers but in his previous 9 PL seasons he has scored 15+ goals in 6 of his seasons.

 

I'm glad that he stayed loyal to us but, for me, he's in the bracket of player where he could have played for any big club and won much more. Like Shearer.

We all know he's a top Premier League striker but they don't want to admit it because he came from non league. At least Vardy won a Premier League and FA Cup with us, Shearer won a Premier League and did nothing else of note in his career.

Not a trophy, true, but definitely a personal victory to have such a record stand the test of time for nearly 3 decades.
