Knowing our lot probably part of the Oliver Skipp deal in the summer that they  can have Winks  back in January. Why we paid over the odds for Skipp.

I really like Winks and think he’s a great player.

A lot of the work he does will go under appreciated but he’s the sort of player you love to play with. He’s like a metronome and every club needs them as he’s so consistent.

In my opinion, he needs other players around him him that can support.

If anything I’d rather keep Winks and ship out Ndidi and Skipp.

Exactly that mate

Agree 100%

Hate to admit this, but have to agree. He's unlikely to want to stay around as we get relegated end of the season so better to cash in now (if the report is genuine).

Agree but even if we somehow stay up we'd need an upgrade anyway so take the dollar whilst it's hot

Possibly 1. his injury troubles previously, 2. he probably had aspirations of playing Premier League again and we weren't guaranteed promotion and 3. that's the year our parachute payments would have ended so we wouldn't have been stuck paying Premier League wages to him if we stayed down.

3 year contract is pretty standard. Any longer could be reckless, especially for a player joining after some injuries.

Wouldnt call that standard, short contracts is a reason we have been in so much trouble with the squad and finances.

It means it ends when he is at an awkward age, we might consider getting rid after only 2 seasons, and be under pressure to give a salary increase after only 2 years to keep him.

5 years would have had it end at age 32.
