Yeah I don’t disagree, my point was not to compare Pearson and Martin - there is no comparison. It was just merely stating the fact that we had a period of patience which led to our best period, although as has been pointed out, during Pearson’s tenure the club was for the most part upwardly mobile, which isn’t happening right now under Martin.

Our best period was set up by Pearson having time to build something, yet we don’t seem to have any patience with managers these days. Look at Arteta, we might as well give him a bit of a chance to get his feet under the table instead of just keep hiring and firing repeatedly. Fed up of signings where we know that what we’re getting isn’t good enough, and then they show exactly what they have done for years at their previous clubs.

People have said this for most of 35 years in this country since the induction of the Premier League, I don’t think football in the UK is at its full limit in terms of spending yet. The NFL and NBA dwarf the Premier League currently, with so much American influx coming into the game in this country, their prerogative will be to bring our sport in line with theirs in terms of commercial value.

Joma are weird. Some of their kits look class then others look like this. That low collar is terrible.

We’ll be fine with all of our current centre backs. Obviously better for fresh start but they will be ok at this level.

Other way around for me. I get the Welbeck one, Henderson isn’t up to standard on the pitch anymore for Chelsea. They still need to be able to come in to the side and do a job. I could easily see Welbeck getting a good chunk of minutes and scoring some important goals off the bench, Henderson will just be in his England role this summer again.
