arry Winks, current player of Leicester City, is on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur. The London club, which already met Winks during his training phase and in his first professional seasons, is determined to bring back the Englishman. Tottenham would be willing to pay 38 million euros for his return, taking advantage of the solid season that Winks is living under the orders of Steve Cooper.

The footballer, who arrived at Leicester City from Sampdoria last season for an amount of 11.6 million, has proven his worth in the Premier League, becoming a fundamental piece in Cooper's scheme. With his vision of the game, distribution capacity and ball recovery, Winks has gained prominence in the Leicester City midfield, and his performance has attracted the attention of his former club. After a couple of years of difficulties in adapting to Tottenham's first team, his growth and maturity in the Premier League have revealed his potential.

The return of an old promise.

For its part, Tottenham is looking to reinforce the midfield with quality players, and Winks seems to be an ideal option. Despite the fact that his role in the London team was limited in recent years, his return could bring balance and dynamism to Tottenham's center of the field, something that the team has needed after some ups and downs. The value of 38 million euros that the London club is willing to disburse reflects confidence in the player's potential.

However, Leicester will not let him go easily. The English midfielder has been one of the pillars of the team, coach Steve Cooper wants to keep him at all costs. With Tottenham's offer on the table, Winks' future could be determined in the coming weeks, with the "Spurs" looking to take advantage of the opportunity to re-enish one of their own talents.

There is zero chance they will be actually in for Winks for anything more than 15 mill, if at all. However, this will have come from his agent that suggests he is not happy and would be happy to move on. Don’t blame him at all. Clueless manager with awful ownership currently going one way and that’s downwards.

Out of contract in 18 months so agents back to work, don't fall for it Rudkin (gets 5 year contract ready)

We should be getting him on a 4 year contract and planning to sell after 2 years imo.

I think he’s crucial for many reasons. This team is devoid of leaders but you can see that he’s the main person talking and orchestrating. Not in a Kasper (shout at everyone for everything) type of way, he does it but still seem very popular.  His attitude is impeccable and if anyone should be our next captain it’s him imo.

Id bet he’s the player with the most tactical knowledge by far, as you can see that he thinks a few moves ahead. The reason things are looking worse off with him, is because quite frankly he probably has a better knowledge of the game than Cooper.

If you’ve not seen it, there’s a clip of him running up to every single player to tell them what to do when he came in at ht against southampton… the guy just gets it.

He's a player that only excels in possession. Considering we are towards the bottom of the league it wouldn't be that big of an issue if we lost him and used a midfielder that protects the back line more.

I disagree, he's one of the best players in the squad. It's a bit like Tielemans not looking as good when we were relegated, but we all knew he was a quality player.

We need a few more players who can help Winks perform not the other way around.

Are u joking pal or what ? Winks is in my opinion in the top 3 best players we have at Leicester . Good engine on him , gets stuck in , did u see his frustration at the end of the utd game.? Passionate player who will jump for joy at the chance going back spurs if this story is true, which I doubt for that money.

With the home grown thing I do sort of understand the motivation for this. There is some sense as a squad player. But thirty odd million lol obviously nonsense.

Cash in

Hate to admit this, but have to agree. He's unlikely to want to stay around as we get relegated end of the season so better to cash in now (if the report is genuine).

I really like Winks and think he’s a great player.

A lot of the work he does will go under appreciated but he’s the sort of player you love to play with. He’s like a metronome and every club needs them as he’s so consistent.

In my opinion, he needs other players around him him that can support.

If anything I’d rather keep Winks and ship out Ndidi and Skipp.
