Mark Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 On Radio Leicester, he's being his usual self giving no proper answers. Seems a bit down but rightly so. :: He said someone else may have to sort the discipline out, come on WALK
Anish Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 On the discipline, "I'll have to change it or someone else will have to change it."
Mark Posted 25 September 2004 Author Posted 25 September 2004 As you heard then, he cant take any critism so he blamed it on the players (WHO HE HAS BROUGHT IN) Two seasons in a row, two different sets of players, its his fault, and look at how he talks after the match.
Anish Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 We deserved a better response than that. He said absolutely nothing on the interview and I bet he is thinking of resigning.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 THATS IT HE'S HAD ENOUGH! THANK YOU GOD!!!
Mark Posted 25 September 2004 Author Posted 25 September 2004 Heres the interview in full "It's certainly frustrating from my point of view and the fans' point of view."I am disappointed that we have lost another game of football. We were two nil up but we expected a backlash from QPR in the second half. We had enough experience out there to see the game through and win it. "The dicipline side of the football club has gone haywire at the minute. I will have to change it or someone else will have to change it. "I think I have been under pressure since day one in this job. "I am obviously unhappy with the way things have gone in the first 10 games. I suppose people will say there is a long way to go, but we keep getting ourselves into winning positions and not taking the points. There was not a lot Micky Adams could have done about what happened today. But I can't answer for the players. "I feel for the fans. They have paid a lot of money to come down here and we appreciate their support - as we always do. They deserve better but we just keep shooting ourselves in the foot. As I said before, either I sort it or someone else will. "At the moment it is difficult for Micky Adams to look ahead to Tuesday night's game against Gillingham."

Yes Micky there was A LOT you could of done today tpo change it! Sounds like either he thinks he will be sacked or he is contemplating resigning.
Anish Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 I can't stand him referring to himself in the third person either. I think he's feeling the pressure more than ever and he's lost confidence in himself and his players.

Mark Posted 25 September 2004 Author Posted 25 September 2004 These experienced players have no passion, no commitment and no will to win. They show nothing, experience doesnt mean the manager can just sit back and relax and expect them to see the game out. What a mess.
BartonFox Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 I think that interview means we have seen the last of Micky Adams in charge at Leicester City FC. He has realised that he has no longer got what it takes to manage a club of our size. I must be honest it is sad to see the man in such a state as he done reasonably well for the City. But his best is no where near what I consider good enough for the team I support. I won't crow or celebrate when he goes. But the board of LCFC had better getthe next appointment right and if they think installing Bassett or Cork even on a caretaker basis is the answer then they can expect a supporter revolt.

If he has to take the stick for whats happening now, he has to take the credit for getting us promoted last time. And lets face it, if we hadn't gone up last time i seriously doubt we would still be here as a club. If we had still survived, we would of been in a bigger state financially for a lot lot longer than we will be.
Ricey Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 I by no means hate Micky Adams, but it's time he left. I'm just scared the board will then replace him with another poor manager.
Filbert Fox Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 "I told David Connolly that he has cost us the game," said a disillusioned Adams. Nice move. I bet that made him feel great. Who signed him? I rest my case again. See 'Reminiscent of Taylor' thread. <_<

No, he supposed to say 'you've ****ing let you're club down david and your losing two weeks wages for it. Sort your ****ing attitude out or your out the door'. He let us down. Plain and simple. Whether we'd have held on to win with him on the pitch or not, he let us down.

Or in front of his peers, not the world.

Maybe!

He has to show the fans that he's dealing with the issue or we lose even more respect for him.
Guest Posted 25 September 2004 Posted 25 September 2004 From where I was sitting, the 2nd yellow card looked harsh, and I didn't see the first one as I was following the on the bal action. Whether or not Connolly deserved to be red-carded, if he hasn't broken someone's legs or killed another player, then MA's should be telling the media that he would review the incident, and take any necessary action, not slate a footballer already low on confidence. Rather than say his tactics were at fault, he has yet again blamed somebody else for the result. If a team is 2-0 up, and a striker is sent off, you try and shut up shot. Defensively, we were looking ok, Pressman had not been called upon to do much, and we were solid. Connolly goes, and he puts part of that defence up front??? What a shocker we concede goals. I also swear he brought on Wright and Benji under these circumstances because we the fans have been calling for them, and now he will feel justified in saying they did nothing. The plot has well and truly been lost.
