Nottingham Forest and Leicester City are among several clubs to have shown a firm desire to sign Inter Milan’s Pio Esposito this summer.

The Nerazzurri let the striker spend the past two years on loan at Serie B side, Spezia. He scored 20 goals and registered four assists last season, and this includes a goal and an assist for Inter Milan at the Club World Cup.

Esposito’s fine displays have attracted interest from Nottingham Forest, Leicester and 13 other clubs, according to FcInterNews.

From Italy, Bologna, Napoli, Lazio, Fiorentina, Cagliari, Parma, Como, Sassuolo, Torino, Lazio and Parma have all shown keen interest in the 20-year-old. Nottingham Forest, Leicester, FC Basel and Ajax are his four foreign suitors.

The report claims these 15 clubs have made offers to sign the Italy U21 international in this window.

It’s claimed Nottingham Forest, Leicester, Napoli, Fiorentina and Como made offers to buy him permanently, while the rest proposed loan deals.

I imagine if we did beat Forest to the signing their absolute whopper of an owner would put some sort of complaint or legal challenge to stop us. Guy is a complete and utter helmet and for some reason the tree shaggers seen to defend him to the hilt, deluded feckwits
