Despite the Blue Jays being favourites to sign top free agent Kyle Tucker, he's of course ultimately opted for the Dodgers. How un****ingly surprising is that! Sick to death of all these players signing for the Dodgers. Do something different! What is wrong with these players? And don't tell me it's a money thing, the Jays were offering a 10-year contract.

In the last couple of years the Jays have actively pursued Shohei Ohtani, Juan Soto, Roki Sasaki and now Tucker. Three of them have ended up in LA. Disgusting!

The only thing I hope for now is that we can come to an agreement with Bo Bichette. Toronto is where he belongs, he would look awful in a Phillies/Yankees/Red-Sox/Mets/Braves uniform.

I find it odd that Bichette hasn't re-signed yet?! And I take your point on the Dodgers, but maybe players just want to win - of course, money is absolutely important and right up there in terms of drivers in their decision I'm sure - but also the chance to win, and going to the Dodgers basically guarantees that.

In any case, roll on the season starting! :scarf:

if you kill the interest of the majority of avid fans, you eventually kill the sport.

And that’s what is happening in baseball.

Opening day!

Well, it's just the Yanks and Giants, but still! :D

I am going to make an effort to follow this season more, rather than just if the Jays are in the playoffs.

Was fun watching them in the WS and hopefully another good season upcoming!

Never enjoy seeing the Yanks win.

But, I did enjoy seeing Judge strikeout 4 times in his first four at bats!

Never enjoy watching the Giants lose.

Never enjoy watching the Yankees win.

Never enjoy these games taking place overnight and with no way of watching them.

But other than that, a great start to the season!

I am going to watch the Jays opener tonight vs the A's.

I dont think I've watched a regular season baseball game since my dad's been gone, and that was 15 years ago.

Go Jays!

Starts at 11pm here, I'll no doubt watch all of it. Got to watch the season opener right?

I'm still crushed by that game 7, the healing starts tonight :yesyes:

Was a bit worried that we were gonna blow it after such a great start for Gausman, but...great win!

Great pitching by both starters. And it’s always sweet to win a game with a walk off.

Hoffman starts the season as he finished the last one - blown save! 🤨

I really do feat that his confidence is shot, and that's not good for a closer.

Already lovin' Okamoto!

Just found out MLB have stopped their "Free Game of the Day." It was rare that the Giants would come up and coincide with an early game, but was usually good for 4 or 5 games a year amd sometimes more. Enough to keep in touch.

Greedy f******s mean I won't be watching any baseball this year.

When does the CFL season start?

When Brendon Little comes in to pitch for the Jays, you know it's game over, and not in a good way!

Even Brendon Little couldn’t spoil another walk off win! :D

Jays with another walk-off win! This one took 11 innings.

Great comeback!

I don't think I can take another 160 more games of this lol

Dylan Cease 12Ks, fantastic start. And what an MLB debut for Spencer Miles, in a real clutch situation. Ernie doing what Ernie does, and Andres Giminez hitting like Bo Bichette. Wonderful stuff

Baseball season is about 80 games too long.

This has been an electric opening to the MLB season. With all due respect to Chase DeLauter (!!!!), JJ Wetherholt, Andres Gimenez, and the Yankees’ pitching: the highlight of the young season so far is CB Bucknor getting embarrassed by ABS.

Love this quote from Bill Simmons:

”The Red Sox blew all their ABS challenges early against the always horrible CB Bucknor and now he’s running amok like Jason Voorhees.”

Chase deLauter with four  jacks in his first 3 regular season games … and those aren’t mediocre pitchers in Seattle.

As a lifelong tribe/guards fan, my only preseason predictions were:

1. Guardians in third place

2. deLauter to be running away with RotY on June 1st and in the IL for the season by the all star break

They may surprise me on #1, but #2 is written in stone.

Okamoto's first homer!

3 dingers already for the Jays in 4 innings.

Jesus Sanchez’s first for the Jays as well. And the obligatory Springer dinger :P
