Seen a couple of people start to say stuff like this so I’ll comment in response.

 

The Trust is very much talking about current issues! But the board felt the 10-year anniversary should be marked for those members that wanted to do so. And as part of the attempts to give more back for being a member, events like this are part of that.

 

The timing of this is very intentional. Enough distance past the end of last season and the shambles of the match organised by the club and before the new season starts so that we can very much all continue to focus on the here and now after the event.

 

Not all members will want to attend, and may share your views, that’s fine. But plenty will and we’re pleased to have been able to get the guys we have on the bill.
 

There are many involved with running the event who are very unhappy about the state of the club, and trying to do something about it, but we’ll allow ourselves one night off from that to look back at happier times and enjoy the for what it is: an hour with some interesting guests to hear some stories from that season.
