Personally gave McCarthy a 5. Yes he dropped a nut on the free kick but that save at the end was crucial

The one straight at him after dropping a stinker that put us in that situation?

Hardly surprising he is getting a lot of criticism.... looking at the defence in front of him .... they are supposed to protect him

He shouldn’t need protecting from 30 yard free kicks

But who gave the free kick needlessly away....

So he doesn't have to do his job because a decision somewhere somehow led to a shot on goal? What is he being paid for then? What a ridiculous train of thought

No but your comments are typical of not looking at the big picture .... a striker misses 3 or 4 tap ins during the game and you say nothing .... a goalkeeper makes a single mistake and your all over it ... not a ridiculous train of thought at all   . Its the reality of the game ...

It's not a single mistake and this forum has lambasted our strikers for not being able to hit a barn door in recent weeks (and rightly so).

So bdcr hasn’t been given pelters about his performances, Cullen, Bristric? It’s not a single mistake at all, the bigger picture and reality of the game is that in the last 2 games we’d have needed to score 5 and 4 to win. The reality of that is that he’s not good enough, obviously it’s not all on him and the defence has to do better as well, but a good goalkeeper organises and communicates with his defence better and doesn’t concede 1/2/3 potshots a game.

Same rubbish was spouted in defence of Danny Ward, the eye test says it all he simply isn’t good enough to be a number 1

So I will elaborate .... my point .... a striker has nine clear chances ... misses them all ... the 10th he slots home ... we win 1-0 .... he is a hero everyone sings his praises .... the goalkeeper makes 9 outstanding saves ..  makes 1 mistake we lose 1-0 and he is a total waste of space .... that is part of the goalkeeper training at Leicester city... so young keepers do not lose heart or confidence

At the minute if afraid to say our options are limited in that area ... not seeing our third goalkeeper I can certainly say I have no confidence in any of them I have seen so far ... and let's be honest with our charitable defence who would want to stand behind them

No, I don't think they are to that extent. I don't think any football fan views the game as black and white as that.

This is it really. You can just see that we're a worse team with him in goal. Total bag of nerves that permeates through to the rest of the team.

A good goalkeeper has to have that air of arrogance around them. They've got to have a bit of a strut and be able to remain above it all when people are losing their heads.

Kasper was a fantastic keeper and for the most part was completely in control of the situation yet when his head went (which happened semi-regularly) then he would invariably make mistake after mistake because he wasn't concentrating.

McCarthy (and Ward before him) is constantly fretting and it's costing us. The Norwood freekick happens because he's too worried about the cross into the box that he totally forgets to set up his wall correctly and position himself properly. Basic error that only happens because he's not calm and composed.

King Power have only ever gone out and bought two genuine 1st choice goalkeepers and they were fantastic (Schmeichel and Ward). Every other keeper has been brought in as back up. Really hoping the club sees their error and goes out to buy a proper goalkeeper that doesn't play like his wife and kids are being held hostage.

I can assure you it is as black and white as that .... they try to encourage young goalkeepers to shut the over criticism out

There's no football fan that watches a striker miss 9 chances but score one and thinks he's had a good game.

Just as there's no football fan that watches a goalkeeper make 9 blinding saves but let one in and thinks he's had a bad game.

Football isn't that black and white unless you're an idiot.

Now now .... everyone's opinions count unless you are so deluded enough to think otherwise.... and lack basic respect

How does Thomas have a rating of 3,9? Is it family members on here voting him up?

Streets will never forget Thomas constantly getting 8+/10 ratings on BBC Sport the other season when the rest of the team were peaking at 4/10
