mikelcfc Posted 7 January 2006 Share Posted 7 January 2006 i think he should go sooner rather than later as if we keep him and go down he will go anyway and lose value so i say cash in while we can dont want him to go cuz hes great for us but it looks like he on his way out
holly Posted 7 January 2006 Share Posted 7 January 2006 I wouldn't be disappointed if he left. Oddly, I think his good form has been one of our problems, as it's kept out what are better players in Hughes and Willaims. ok dont agree with that, coz they arent better players they are different sorts of players! joey gets stuck in and makes tackles, whereas hughes and williams dont tackle although they are more creative! williams more so! but i would still rather keep joey in the team! imo! ithuriel Posted 7 January 2006 Share Posted 7 January 2006 thats a ridiculous statement to make frenzied. either CL has been playing a lesser player in the team or joeys form this season has kept him in there. joey has actually played quite well this season , which did surprise me. Disillusioned Posted 7 January 2006 Share Posted 7 January 2006 His form picked up miraculously when he first heard that Alkmaar were sniffing about. And then it started to dip when the ink was dry. Likewise Smurf at Charlton (Newcastle, Man City, Wherever United).
Louise Posted 7 January 2006 Share Posted 7 January 2006 true if we go down joey will go, along with probably hammond, tiattio, williams...maybe a few more Hmmm. Relegation doesn't sound so bad afterall....

Barwell Posted 8 January 2006 Share Posted 8 January 2006 I think he'll stay, touch wood. If he does that will just be another blow to our survival battle, unless we get millions for him, which obviously we won't.

Hitesh Posted 8 January 2006 Share Posted 8 January 2006 If the board see some money come in they wont care and will sell the player. i dont like it one bit but its just the way it is.
ithuriel Posted 8 January 2006 Share Posted 8 January 2006 every player eventually leaves but it has to be at the right time or right price.

In fairness he is one of the few players playing to their potential at times this season, it is just that his potential is that of an average Championship player.
