Ric Flair Posted 13 October 2004 Posted 13 October 2004 Macca, is Tomi Petrescu injured or on international duty at the minute?
Ric Flair Posted 13 October 2004 Author Posted 13 October 2004 neither 26380 What's up with him then? Why isn't he even on the bench? he isn't even getting in for the Under 18's either? Is he on his way out?
Ric Flair Posted 13 October 2004 Author Posted 13 October 2004 Just done some research Macca and Tomi Petrescu scored in a 7-1 win last night for Finland Under 19's hence he was on international duty. So why say he wasn't? http://www.palloliitto.fi/viestinta/?num=41302
Macca4lcfc Posted 13 October 2004 Posted 13 October 2004 Oh well i asked someone and they said they dont think so! And if he was I thought it would have been on the OS!Sorry for the wrong info!!
Ric Flair Posted 13 October 2004 Author Posted 13 October 2004 Just translated it and it said Petrescu either scored 4 goals or set 4 up. But it only listed 3 other scorers, so I imagine Petrescu got 4!! That's 7 goals in the past 2 games for him, unreal.

He's hardly played any minutes this season for us, get him back and start him in every reserve game.

I know youth football is completely different to professional football, but this isn't the first time Petrescu has rattled 4 goals in a match. He got a hat-trick in his previous game. Now you don't score 7 goals in 2 games if your shit. It does appear he might be a little lazy, but with a new manager who might recognise his potential we might well get to see what a wonderkid he really is. **** the reserves, get the lad in the first team. It would be interesting to see how he would fair in the first team, I mean the whole world wanted him a few years ago so he must be special. I reckon he might be one of those players that is just totally gifted, but can't be arsed in training. Someone needs to take him under their wing and do whatever it takes to make him the star he is.

He'll probably he in the Finland national team before our first team though the way things are going
Craig Posted 13 October 2004 Posted 13 October 2004 Did Shirtliff leave with Adams, Cork and Lathergan?
Ric Flair Posted 13 October 2004 Author Posted 13 October 2004 Did Shirtliff leave with Adams, Cork and Lathergan? 26403 Good question, i've not heard anything about Shirtlifter. He has done alright since he's been here, gave the youngsters plenty of minutes for the ressies.

The Eremenko brothers are class, I can't believe Micky turned down the chance to sign one of them! I remember going on a website to do with Finnish football a while ago and they are loving Petrescu.
Ric Flair Posted 13 October 2004 Author Posted 13 October 2004 4 bloody goals , Well done Petrescu 26408 and 3 the game before!!!!
Mark Posted 13 October 2004 Posted 13 October 2004 4 bloody goals , Well done Petrescu 26408 and 3 the game before!!!! 26411 It wasnt the game before, they drew 1-1 in the previous game it was the game before that
Bluefoxtim Posted 13 October 2004 Posted 13 October 2004 Petrescu Hits 4 For Finland U-19s Tomi Petrescu scored four goals for Finland Under 19's as they thrashed Albania 7-1 in the first qualifying round of the UEFA European Under 19 Championships. The highly rated striker hasnt had much of a look in this season, even in the Leicester Reserves even though he has scored on his only start. Hopefully his form for Finland will give the new management something to think about. 4 goals at any level is bloody good so why on earth Mick didnt give the young guns a chance is anyones guess. Sticking with lazy blake and dublin. Give the young ones a chance cos they support the team and know how much it means to the fans. Where as older players that we have are just looking for one last big payday.
Oli Posted 13 October 2004 Posted 13 October 2004 He hsould be on the bench for the first team, its obvious he is a natural born finisher.
Ric Flair Posted 13 October 2004 Author Posted 13 October 2004 Macca have a word with him when he gets back. Get the legend on here.
Anish Posted 13 October 2004 Posted 13 October 2004 Hopefully Dave and Howard will have got news of this and will give him a go. He can't do any worse than Dublin, Blake and even Connolly (one goal in 11 games is lame).
Mark Posted 13 October 2004 Posted 13 October 2004 Remember Dave Bassett was speaking about him once last season on Sky Sports? He was saying how he had high hopes for him, so you never know :D
Jonbluefox9 Posted 13 October 2004 Posted 13 October 2004 We really need to make sure we don't lose him or even worse, we don't help him improve as a player. If the worst comes to the worst we need to make sure we make a good amount of money on him in the future if we can't manage to kep him.
