Kingy Posted 7 February 2006 Posted 7 February 2006 The current Matty Fryatt chant is gash ! Nick the greek, a pal of mine has come up with this one to the tune of 'I predict a riot! Score a Goal Matt Fryatt Score a Goal Matt Fryatt ! What do you think ? Does anyone have a better one ! heard a great one at Hearts "If you tolerate RIX then your children will be next!"

You mean you read it on the internet. You chant is rubbish it has too many syllables. Then again if it was made up by Nikos Dabizas its hardly suprising.

I like the Fryatt one, infact I remember suggesting it on here when he signed. It's the same one Palace sing for Andy Johnson. The problem with these fancy chants for players, they never take off. Especially not at Leicester where the breed of fan to put it mildly is 'simple'.

The problem with these fancy chants for players, they never take off. Especially not at Leicester where the breed of fan to put it mildly is 'simple'. I dont think simple is the right word. I think it;s just hard to get fancy chants going, espically at home, due to the fact we can't even get "come on Leicester" going. I like the current Matty Fryatt song as well. simple straight to the pont I for one would feel like a right pillock singing "score a goal matt fryatt"
Kingy Posted 7 February 2006 Author Posted 7 February 2006 You mean you read it on the internet. You chant is rubbish it has too many syllables. Then again if it was made up by Nikos Dabizas its hardly suprising. It obviously fits the song - Manuel I think you is the thick one no ?
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 February 2006 Posted 7 February 2006 It obviously fits the song - Manuel I think you is the thick one no ? yeah it does fit the song I was working off score a goal MATTY fryatt not matt fryatt. Sorry. Your chant is still rubbish :clap2:
Kingy Posted 7 February 2006 Author Posted 7 February 2006 yeah it does fit the song I was working off score a goal MATTY fryatt not matt fryatt. Sorry. Your chant is still rubbish :clap2: Its far better than the current one. The initial posts asks for any others ? Well, Manuel do you have anything better ? I thought not
Ric Flair Posted 7 February 2006 Posted 7 February 2006 A bit unfair Ric Listen to the phone-in's, bunch of mongole's the lot of us.
Kingy Posted 7 February 2006 Author Posted 7 February 2006 Too complicated? If "Iwan is a welshman..." can catch on, then I'm sure we could manage one line from a Kaiser Chiefs song! Also, most famous chants originate from chart music, lest we not forget the song "go west", the chant "thierry henry, thierry henry" is also from a song, i forget which, but you see the point. I know the kaiser chiefs are all leeds fans, but give it a chance, its nay so bad.
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 February 2006 Posted 7 February 2006 Its far better than the current one. The initial posts asks for any others ? Well, Manuel do you have anything better ? I thought not The Current one is fine. He's known as Matty Fryatt not Matt Fryatt, and score a goal just sounds incredible simple and stupid. Making it the worse chant i've ever herd. but if your going to sing a song to the Kaiser cheifs song it should be "Super Matty Fryatt,Super Matty Fryatt" or to a differnt tune Super, Super Matt, Super Super Matt Super Super Matt Super Matty Fryatt. As I said though there is nothing wrong with the one we have.
Strokes Posted 7 February 2006 Posted 7 February 2006 I am happy with the one we have, but then i am just a simpleton
Shum Posted 7 February 2006 Posted 7 February 2006 I like the current chant! I've been humming it all week
Ric Flair Posted 7 February 2006 Posted 7 February 2006 I am happy with the one we have, but then i am just a simpleton I love the new one. But you have to admit, us fans don't seem to have many original chants, i've tried to get alot going in my time and people just turned round and stare at me as if i've just beheaded someone.
Phube Posted 7 February 2006 Posted 7 February 2006 Isn't the current chant the one that was used for Elvis when he scored a goal once at home... not sure which game tough!!

I agree to a certain extent, we don't seem to have a massive amount off song's for our players, but i put that down to the fact we haven't really had a connection with the players at the club since Mon left. Also i used to think, as fans go, we were one of the wittyist (new word) set, we used to be a right laugh in the old Kop and were rarely out done in the banter.
Kingy Posted 7 February 2006 Author Posted 7 February 2006 Isn't the current chant the one that was used for Elvis when he scored a goal once at home... not sure which game tough!! Something original like .... Arsenal's to the tune of Re-re'wind VAN - PER - SIE When the girl says No MO LEST HER !

I remember us calling Seaman a porn star in ye olde kop - which was well received by Seaman and the gooners ! How I miss banter in the kop
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 February 2006 Posted 7 February 2006 Something original like .... Arsenal's to the tune of Re-re'wind VAN - PER - SIE When the girl says No MO LEST HER ! We know your getting these off Laugh FC, check the general sport forum stop trying to look clever
Kingy Posted 7 February 2006 Author Posted 7 February 2006 We know your getting these off Laugh FC, check the general sport forum stop trying to look clever Not visited Laugh FC as yet ... will do though thanks (I was at the Arsenal v Wigan game when the Van Persie song was being sang, thanks) Nick the greek (Non Greek and a Dabizas hater) has just been back in the office, He is quite happy that the Kaiser Chiefs chant is not going to catch on, but does like the sound of the Super Matty Fryatt one as this reminds him of Super Stevie Claridge ! He told me to "shin one in" then left again. The 2 unlimited tune is Euro pop GARBAGE !
Strokes Posted 7 February 2006 Posted 7 February 2006 Something original like .... Arsenal's to the tune of Re-re'wind VAN - PER - SIE When the girl says No MO LEST HER ! Score a Goal Matt Fryatt Score a Goal Matt Fryatt ! What do you think ? Does anyone have a better one ! [..] This has already been suggested before, but with the words "We've got Matty Fryatt" which fit the tune much better. The BIG problem is the two beat pause between the lines and then the six beat pause before it starts again... "We've got Matty Fryatt [2 beat pause] We've got Matty Fryatt [6 beat pause]" ad infinium Given the way sound travels around the Walkers and the fact that most fans can't even clap in time makes this a very difficult chant to get going properly, it would more likely turn out a complete mess. The only way it could be used is if there were some kind of filler for the gaps... Fans A: "We've got Matty Fryatt" Fans B: "Matty Fryatt!" Fans A: "We've got Matty Fryatt" Fans B: [something esle here] ...if that makes sense to anyone?
