wonderboy Posted 14 February 2006 Posted 14 February 2006 Maybe my eyes are deceiving me but when i watched rob kelly bein interviewed for central news i looked in the background and the pitch looked in perfect condition. But jon barber said at the wolves game that the pitch was shocking ?

funkyfox1884 Posted 14 February 2006 Posted 14 February 2006 It was a little worn in places and there was new turf in the goal mouth but it wasn't too bad considering its the middle of winter. Besides everyone ought to know by now that Barber talks crap!
Ricey Posted 14 February 2006 Posted 14 February 2006 The pitch was very good against Wolves I though, considering it's been through winter and 6 months of football.

Besides everyone ought to know by now that Barber talks crap! Whatever you say about John Barber the pitch was awful and getting worse every minute the players were training on it...as later proved by the number of bobbles, miscued passes and miscellaneous miskicks. One bobble lifted the ball so high it hit Douglas in the face as I recall.

When it was on the floor, it was either Ince / Cort falling all over it or Weso on one of his runs. The rest of the match was played about 6ft 5 in the air
