Fez has netted a return of £2,750 off a £750 bet that leicester would get relegated.

I believe he is going barbados with his winnings :thumbup:

I like the sound of this game. The football season is soon to end though.
That's the beauty of World leagues and betting the way it has gone on sports books.

I don't think that there isn't a day through out the year (Maybe Xmas day) where there isn't at least one game to bet on!

Also the Euro 2008, it'll make it abit more interesting too seeing as we have been a failure in that also.

My first bet;

Boulogne V Grenoble

Grenoble to win @7/5

In the French League 2. Grenoble are 3rd in the league so going for promotion and could do with winning to keep their place.

lol I have to start again at first hurdle - thank god it was only £1 i lost and not £100 - not as easy as it sounds!!!

Also this way you take more notice of your profit.

I'm one of these people who always goes for the outsider with big odds but this way you bet on something thats more of a dead cert (Nothings a dead cert) or the favourite and you'll be happy with a little profit and building it up, so this competition is probably a good thing for me! lol

Woohoo, I'm off the mark!

Boulogne 0 - 1 Grenoble (I think)

I've definitely won anyway, £2.40, back of the net! :cool::scarf:

I have also won £500 on us thanks to me taking odds on us before xmas that we would go down. I did lay some of it off on BetFair a couple of weeks ago so I was guaranteed to win money either way, would rather we stayed up though and won slightly less.

How exactly does lay betting work? Ive seen it on betfair but not bothered with it.

Lay betting is completely the opposite to Backing;

When you are backing you are hoping that all other selections loose, When you're laying you're hoping all other selections win!

As a layer you are essentially acting as the bookmaker!
