eaststandtom Posted 28 February 2006 Posted 28 February 2006 bloody pleat!!!!!! him and his big mouth telling everyone about him!!!!! ha ha the lad deserves praise. he is a good player already and a fantastic prospect and like it or not if city aren't in the premiership in 2-3 years, probably less, he will be.
Ric Flair Posted 28 February 2006 Posted 28 February 2006 Most clubs are already aware of him, he had 2 awesome seasons in the reserves a few years ago and alot of clubs took note of him then. Since then he's gone from strength to strength playing out of position but has still made the position his own and took it from a Republic of Ireland International. I hope that his physique is putting big clubs off and he continues to progress with Leicester because if they think they can get him for Pleat's valuation then they are mistaken. He might not be worth more than a £1 million at the minute but potentially and what we would want for him would be alot higher, more like £3 million. Curtis Davies went for £3 million and from what i've seen of both of them they are pretty similarly matched potential wise.

Milky Posted 28 February 2006 Posted 28 February 2006 he is a future england player i reckon, but to do that he needs to be playing every week, so there is no point in going to a prem club and playing in there reserves. he should stay with us for a couple more season at least if he has any sense, then if he has to go we should only sell for a good few mill.

You might be right, but there are a shortage of decent right backs for England and it seems Stearman is now seen as a right back instead of a centre back. I disagree with you that Jones is better than Stearman, the other two are though but they are both older than him and Stearman seems to be getting better and better all the while. Jagielka certainly wasn't held in the same light as Stearman was at 18, so you don't know what will happen.
