IDEA OR IKEA Posted 1 March 2006 Author Posted 1 March 2006 Which one:? The Last Plantagen..... (spelling) Yeah that one near train ststion - some old rough guys in there
Rincewind Posted 1 March 2006 Posted 1 March 2006 oi! I go in there sometimes. That pub Ikea mentioned was the one down Belgrave Gate. Royal Oak I think or the one near it. No offence to anyone living in the area but I would think the ones up Braunstone and New Parks are no go pubs. Saffon Lane too. To even it up I don't use The Burlington that is in my area because it may have a reputation. In fact if I went in any estate pub, and I had my security laples showing it may be considered a mistake on my part. But I'd only make that mistake once.
The Bigman Posted 1 March 2006 Posted 1 March 2006 Midland Hotel on Saffron lane or even the Lounge bar, Both been closed recently to guns on premises and fighting respectivley. No go pubs.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 1 March 2006 Posted 1 March 2006 we were on (leicester was) roughest pubs ibritain i think number 5 or something - however cant remember the name of it. The Bowlturners on Belgrave Gate.

Ultra Posted 2 March 2006 Posted 2 March 2006 Actually I think the Crow's Nest is a bit of a dive. I wasn't too surprised to hear there'd been a recent murder there.. It seems to have had regular bother for at least the past decade...

SystonFox Posted 2 March 2006 Posted 2 March 2006 the bakers arms in syston is a bit rough. been a few stabbings there over the years. all other pubs in syston are good though.

It seems to have had regular bother for at least the past decade... Drank in there a few times a long while ago. Didn't seem too bad. Although, again a few years back I remember driving past there after we'd beaten the Villa and there were a load of bleeding Villa fans stretched out on the road, surrounded by ambulances and police cars.
