Seen last night on UK Gold they were doing a vote on comedy hero's, couldn't be arsed to spend money on a wasted text for somthing i will probably never know the result's of. But wondered who your guys favourite are of the above. I am bound to forget a few so will probably add some if suggested.

If were talking UK then it has to be Billy Connolly and if International the late great Chris Farley.

As comedy characters, I'd have to say Fletch or Delboy, as they are instantly likeable as true heroes. They can also recognise their faults, which is the reason why we empathise with them.

Partridge and Brent are the opposite - they represent the darker side of ourselves. They are uncomfortable to watch - they represent our arrogance, vanity and stupidity.

Fawlty sort of sits in the middle of both categories. He also happens to be my favourite. :D

Andy Kaufman was the comedy king

Rigsby best comedy character

Don't know how many of you remember John Junkin who died this week, but he was one of the best comedy writers/actors of all time.

In one 2 week period, he appeared in over 50 comedy shows on TV! Now that's prolific!

"Whoah, whoah, whoah...sweet child o'mine"

"It's a Catch-21 situation"

"It's Den Perry, Jerry"

"I want to speak to the organist, not the monkey grinder"

"Not what it looks! Not what it looks!!! It's a twenty-foot cock and balls man. It don't look like nothing else, it's not happening."
