sackmycook Posted 28 March 2006 Posted 28 March 2006 the symbols seem to change everytime. i.e yin&yang was only on 25 and 49 when i did a new one yin&yang it appears on 11 different numbers. and any number i choose ends on yin&yang. and this is what is shown! try a few different numbers and you will see the symbol is always the same.
Tubes Posted 28 March 2006 Posted 28 March 2006 I've done this ages ago, still puzzles me i presume you are joking
Lemon Harpic Posted 28 March 2006 Posted 28 March 2006 No Whatever number you pick, when you add both digits together and then take that number away from the original number, the result will always be a multiple of nine (ie 9, 18, 27, 36 and so on). The 'Mind Reader' simply assigns all the multiples of nine with the same symbol, which is the symbol that the crystal ball will display when you click on it.

Oh yeh, makes sense now, I even do Maths at A-Level
Chimp Posted 28 March 2006 Posted 28 March 2006 If you take any two digit number and subtract the sum of the seperate digits then the result will always be either: 9, 18, 27, 36, ... That is, multiples of 9. The symbol chart is fixed in that these numbers all have the same symbol. When you 'play again' the symbols change but the symbol for 9, 18, 27, ... are still identical. EDIT: Damn, must learn to type quicker

That explains it better. I get it now.
