Rugby Fox Posted 28 March 2006 Posted 28 March 2006 Would you take him? I think he would be an excellent addition to the squad and i think he is a good player. Reading are rumoured to make a #4m double move for Wolves' Joleon Lescott and the Coventry man himself, doubt he would go to Reading.

They've just won promotion to the Premiership by pissing all over this league

Jamesino_LCFC Posted 28 March 2006 Posted 28 March 2006 Isnt he a striker? I dont think we need to add anything more upfront if you ask me.. I think we need one or two new midfielders and one or two new wingers.
Nationwider Posted 28 March 2006 Posted 28 March 2006 The Gary McSheffrey Thread - it's like welcoming an old friend back.
filbertway Posted 28 March 2006 Posted 28 March 2006 Well we need back up for hume and fryatt, O Grady might be ok but he's not in the same league as them 2 and if one getas injured well we would be in a mess

I think we need one or two new midfielders and one or two new wingers. We do , If Hume or/and Fryatt are injured/suspended who's going to step in. O'Grady has done well this season but I still think we need to bring a back up striker in , one thats capable of stepping in and scoring goals. And also somebody thats going to keep Hume and Fryatt on there toes. Hammond unfortunately is'nt that player , we should get rid of him in the summer and look at bringing a lower league striker in , someone like Billy Sharp or Andrew Keogh at Scunny - although they may be out of our price range
SystonFox Posted 29 March 2006 Posted 29 March 2006 nothing special about mcsheffrey the dwarf. reason he is rated so highly is because hes in the top goalscorer chart. Joleon Lesscott isnt all that either?! 4m for 2 theyre having a laugh. Reading fans cant be happy with this...
Ed 1 Posted 29 March 2006 Posted 29 March 2006 Remember CL tried to sign him at the beginning of the season, when he hadnt signed his new deal. Good player IMO, given his debut by Strachan at 16. Good left foot, good goal scoring record. Would be a good addition. But, his value has increased so dramatically due to his goalscoring exploits this season, to such an extent that he is out of our price range.
Muz Posted 29 March 2006 Posted 29 March 2006 Billy paynter from the vale???? He moved to Hull in January. And he's a donkey
