MON Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 I can only remember watching City play since 98/99 season. Therefore i was thinking of the best line-up we have had since MOn took over, to make it easier. choose 2 formations, the best 442 team , and 3-5-2 team. I can guess the majority of the side being form the MON era. Here is my ALL star lineup for 442GK Walker DR-Sinclair DC-Elliot DC-Taggart DL-Walsh MR-Savage/Scowy MC-Lennon MC-Muzzy ML-Guppy FC-Collymore FC-Heskey 352:GK-Walker DC-Sinclair DC-Elliot DC-Taggart RWB-Savage LWB-Guppy MC-Lennon MC-IZZET MC-Oakes/ Zgorakis ?? FC-Collymore FC-HEskey Now you post yours
Cobbo Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 You clearly should have stuck Super Frank at RWB, Walshy at centre half and then move Sav into the middle for Oakes/Theo
Cat Burger Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 This is going to be controversial but I think Thatcher has been the best left back we've had since mon even if we were betrayed. So i'd say Walsh/Taggs for CB. *Waits for the abuse*

King Kyle lcfc Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 poole Grayson, Rolling, Watts, Whitlow Lawrence, J.Lewis, Marshall, Ullathorne Robins, I Marshall (capt)
Collymore Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 pooleGrayson, Rolling, Watts, Whitlow Lawrence, J.Lewis, Marshall, Ullathorne Robins, I Marshall (capt) 30480 I was quite fond of Robins and Marshall, never forget rag heads Europeian wonder strike and robins of course crossed it in for the goal mouth scramble which heskey poked in for the equaliser at wembly against Middlesbourgh! Doe's anyone remember that overhead kick robins scored once? can't rembeber who it was against but it was mint.
goodlongfox Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 -------------Flowers-----Elliott---Walsh---Taggart Sinclair----------------------Guppy ----Savage--Lennon---Izzet ------Collymore---Heskey 30333 Spot on imo, for City it doesn't get better than this... The 3 big men at the back - did you ever hear the comments of other managers ? An ominous presence for any strike force to do battle against, for power in the air you couldn't ask for more. If Elliott didn't get a tackle in, Walshie would or Gerry or both at the same time....crunch! As for the midfield trio, well I think its fair to say we may never see as good a trio ever again in our lifetime at City and if only we had the front two together a bit longer god only knows what could have happened! nostalgia....

Anish Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 For me, that 'rubbish' team is a bit unfair. Grayson, Mark Robins and Ian Marshall will always be remembered fondly by most of us for various reasons.
King Kyle lcfc Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 Wot do you mean rubbish team all 11 players were gr8
