Rose Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 All the people at Nottingham that keep banging on about being more intelligent need to come back down to earth! Nobody doubts that you are, so why dn't you act like you are??! Firstly there are seven different types of intelligence and secondly Nottingham Trent is a great university for the Arts... Which lets face it, the world would be a duller place without it. It takes alot more than people think to use the creative part of your brain; more than it's given credit for. I happened to do quite well academically, however my love of theatre and film drew me to a Theatre Arts Degree at Nottingham Trent. So just think next time you are buying your favourite bands album cover, who designed it? Probably a very articulate graphic or fine artist. Or perhaps an item of clothing? A fashion designer! Or perhaps when you go to the cinema to watch a film with amazing set, lighting, special effects or beautiful photography... Need I say more! Big Up Trnt Students, especially Theatre Design and Fashion... i know how hard you work. love rosieana x
Tommy Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 Quite well academically maybe, however not up to speed on the spelling and grammar side. Please note, I don't go to Nottingham Uni so I personally couldn't care less.
Cat Burger Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 Yeah, they mock us for being lazy...I DO SIX HOURS LECTURES A WEEK! ahem. Marry me. (not really)

Finnegan Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 I study Film at an 'art school' (Cat Hill) of Middlesex University and I can safely say most of the students there are pretentious wankers. Most of them hide their lack of IQ by swanning around in their own little abstract world pretending to have talent. If they "happened to do quite well academically", they're wasting their gifts in academia for all I can see.
Tommy Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 You can shurrit comma boy! Twas meant to be ironic in that sense, oh well, it appears I have missed the mark
Cat Burger Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 Twas meant to be ironic in that sense, oh well, it appears I have missed the mark Well I'm going to watch your posts like a Hawk from now on KIDDO.

The People's Hero Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 I went to Leicester Uni and enjoyed it. To be honest, if you go to uni and get yourself a degree and enjoy it... who cares? Live and let live.
Cat Burger Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 Trent is ok, I'll stick up for it just because I go there. However, the halls that I live in are full of nouveau riche. They like to think they are hard driving about in their cars mummy and daddy bought for them. If you want to know what it's like, think of living in the proximity of a couple of hundred Tim Westwoods. There just isn't the sensitive, long haired, alternative population I thought there would be. Every night, I cry myself to sleep with 50 cent faintly pounding away in the background. Lovely boys don't fit in

Why are you being so anal about spelling and grammar anyway, what are you.. the exam board!

But, i guess everyone's entitled to their own opinion and you seem like a really, really lovely person!
Rose Posted 8 April 2006 Author Posted 8 April 2006 Great post and but two questions... a) Did Cat Burger pay you to post this? b) Do you actually support Leicester City? No.. I don't really support a football team, my ex was an arsenal supporter and it kinda did my head in a bit! And no, my friend was looking at the website cos he does and i saw all the rubbish about trent and wanted to say something in defence of all the people i know who work really hard and are passionate about what they do.
