Hitesh Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 Going to London for a few days in June, then depending on finances its a choice between holiday with lads or family trip to Barcelona. Firstly, i have to clear my overdraft of what will be in the region of £900. Once thats cleared its then onto savin for hols, then after that it will be saving for Uni next year! Its gonna be a hard long summer! :-(
Daggers Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 Touring France for two weeks in July on me motorbike What have you got? Where you going - camping or posher stuff? Me and Bird used to go off round Europe every summer, BK (before kids). I had an old Guzzi Cali and she had an ER5; used to love De Blekken Pot campsite in Belgium...great beer, company and spag bog - but he's gone now We liked Camping Moto Touche as well (as a motorbike only site), down near Clermont...everyone was friendly and up for good beer sessions, they quite often had bands on. Rest of the time was spent just chilling at local campsites. I bought a cheap GPz900 a couple of months back but I've got to spend a couple of weeks knocking the rust off it and changing consumables before its good to go. So the summer will be spent going to a couple of festivals - maybe I'll get in a run round Normandy.
Matt Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 No where this summer. Australia at Christmas (3rd time!) it.
Alexikokopops Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 Off to Hungary from the 14th to the 17th of June with about 10 friends from Uni (will still be at Uni then). Off on a Nationwide tour sometime in August to see a lot of my friends from Uni. Might be on a week long barcrawl around Europe, different city every night, it's in the pipeline. But I have to do a lot of work to earn some money first for that.
Wils Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 Im off to costa del sol in june for 11 days ,my mate has a bar out there. Free beer and the world cup is on,beats working my arse off here

Hi mate, nice bike the Guzzi, I ride Italian myself - have got a Laverda RGS, bit old now but still good for touring, me and a few mates are camping, have done it before, great fun! my missus don't really like tents and stuff, but she don't mind me going. Plan to go over via the tunnel and head down to Macon, Dijon etc towards the alps, get the bulk of the miles done first day, hopefully make the hilly stuff before taking a rest. Then taking it easy. Last time we rode along the cote d'azure, camping different place every day. The bulk of the cash is spent on petrol, but the food/booze is well cheap. People are dead friendly, and you don't feel like an outlaw, highly recommended. incidentally, I know the area round Cleremont, that's in the Massive Central I think? usually hit that one the way back, anyway, hope you get your bike up and running, cheers dude!
billabob Posted 29 May 2006 Posted 29 May 2006 im not going on any hols this year can't afford it and my parenst won't take me with them! so no holiday for me, instead work work work work work
