Strokes Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 I'm amazed how different it looks to the original design. The Alliance & Leicester but looks so tacky, surely they can't keep it like that?! It wouldn't look as bad if the blue was the same colour, sums up our club perfectly. I have no idea what they've tried to do with the pin stripes, they should of just done as orginally designed and as used in the 80's. I'm glad however that all the yellow has gone. I think the kit looks OK but JJB have made some awful decisons and haven't stuck to the original fan design. I bet you are glad they didn't make yours now ain't you, i mean i didn't like the pinstripe on before but they have taken away all of its characteristics.
Libertine Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 Ricey's would have looked amazing in real life had they stuck to the design. I can picture it.

"I don't like it!" jeeze I see what you mean about the sponsor in a different blue. I hope the different blue is the same material as the shirt at least & not the sponsor else is gets even worse! Well.. do I buy it or not? I really don't think I will..
The People's Hero Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 I immediately don't like it. The collar looks **** shit and the sponsor bit just looks horribly tacky and tacked on.
The People's Hero Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 Fuc king awful seriously. Whatever the process was, at some point, someone who was involved and could stand to look stupid should have said something. I mean look at it. Would you be happy to launch that as your product? It's abysmal. It just looks rubbish. I've seen Sunday League shirts where the sponsors blend in better and the shirts are better fitted. It's a pathetic effort. Here you go FoxesTrust - a chance to actually do something here and tell the club it's shit and most of the fans don't like it.
BartonFox Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 Can I just a huge well done to Tim Davies and the rest of the forward thinking and dynamic Executives at Fibert Way, you have really pulled this one out the bag haven't you? What a crock of crap that is and how much money has been spunked on this rather poor marketing campaign? One year kit cycle Remind me again what do these people bring to the Club and how is it good in anyway?
Katy Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 What's this all about then? There's something overtly sexual about this picture. Hume wants a piece of Weso, I can see it in his eyes
Strokes Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 I am so pleased its crap, it has made my day, down with the one year cycle and down with JJB
BartonFox Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 This club is a laughing stock. It really is. No it's not TPH, apparently it is well run according to the FT <_<

Strokes Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 There's something overtly sexual about this picture. Hume wants a piece of Weso, I can see it in his eyes I reckon he has nicked his shower gel and is just about to throw on the floor.
The People's Hero Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 No it's not TPH, apparently it is well run according to the FT <_< Oh yeah! The mouthpiece of those running the club say that those running the club are doing a fine job!
BartonFox Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 It's almost as if no one involved had the first fuc king clue what they were doing.. You are right not one of them did, but the FT thinks they are doing a great job of running our Club.
Foxes til i die Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 i think the kits good, and my shirt will be pre-ordered as soon as i can
The People's Hero Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 i think the kits good, and my shirt will be pre-ordered as soon as i can Assumed you'd get one for free Mr Davies?
Libertine Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 i think the kits good, and my shirt will be pre-ordered as soon as i can Here you are:
lookwhaticando Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 Well my hope for this kit was crushed in an instant. I thought the design would improve in production, because the graphical representation looked a bit rough around the edges because of the iffy colouring. The collar looks daft. The pinstripes are too few and far between. And let's hope the glue they used to stick the A+L logo on isn't too strong, so people that buy the kits can rip it off, so the kit doesn't look as stupid as it does now! It looked promising in the elimination phase when the kits were just graphical representations, but it went horribly wrong in production it seems. You know, Ricey, I'm almost glad yours didn't win - dread to think how badly they could have wrecked your design!
Jonbluefox9 Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 Two points to make: 1) The shorts look identical to this season's. How do the club think they're going to be able to sell those at full price when you can get a pair almost identical for £4 now? 2) Surely if the club receive enough comments about the A&L bit looking tacky, they will try to change it before selling them, or will they have produced too many already? All I'm thinking is that we managed to get the name of the new stadium changed when it was announced that it was going to be called the Walkers Bowl although it may well be too late to change in this case. I'm going to wait until I see the shirt in the shop before deciding whether it's worth buying, especially when you'll be able to buy one for £10 by Christmas.
