hairy Posted 6 June 2006 Posted 6 June 2006 I obviously have too much time on my hands and have been looking at our potential progress through the festival of football that is the world cup this is who i think we have if we win group 2nd round i think will be POLAND quarter final i think will be PORTUGAL semi final i think will be BRAZIL (but im thinking france might do it ) thats a tough one final i think will be ARGENTINA to come second in the group doesnt bare thinking about germany ,then argentina ,then brazil,then france in the final

But if we're going to win the cup you've got to beat the best teams at some point! It won't be like Germany's route to the final 2002
Benji Posted 6 June 2006 Posted 6 June 2006 Am i going stupid or do both draws look the same minus the first knock-out game? End of the day, you have to beat the best to win it! England should go to Germany with full belief that they are better than every other team. Yes the likes of Brazil, France and Argentina are always there or there abouts, but i guarentee they will be looking at our team with a close eye.

At the end of the day, to be over the moon, we have to get in early doors and then shut up shop. It's a team game and there's no place for stars, we have to take our chances and give it 110%. The lads done well and it isn't over till the fat lady sings...
