Ash Posted 13 November 2004 Posted 13 November 2004 Bunch of W*nkers ! How disrespectful they was when we was having the one minute silence for Keith Weller ! Disgrace
Mark Posted 13 November 2004 Posted 13 November 2004 I knew before it started some of them wouldnt of kept quiet. It wasnt really a suprise. So then it ended up being cut short.
Ricey Posted 13 November 2004 Posted 13 November 2004 It only seemed to last about 30 seconds, very very disrespectful of the Sunderland fans.
Guest Daniel Posted 13 November 2004 Posted 13 November 2004 Because them drunken twats couldnt have abit of respect. I hope we can have a decent minutes silence at the next home game, could foxes trust do anything about requesting this?
Benji Posted 13 November 2004 Posted 13 November 2004 absolute disgrace you could tell when they were singing as the players walked to the centre circle they wern't going to shut up good suggestion BM, hopefully that foxestrust person will read this thread, keep it up the top
King Kyle lcfc Posted 13 November 2004 Posted 13 November 2004 I think they are having a memorial or something for the fans. we had such a laugh with a bus full of mackems in our local and then in the counting house but after that so called silence i've lost al respect for them i think i might go and post on their site and just say SCUM SCUM SCUM!!!
Ash Posted 13 November 2004 Author Posted 13 November 2004 Ive already posted a thread on thefootballforum.net telling people my feelings about them !

Jonbluefox9 Posted 13 November 2004 Posted 13 November 2004 You could just tell that they weren't going to stop singing even though us and their own fans were telling them. It didn't help that one of us shouted 'Shut the f**k up you Geordie t***s!' I've lost any respect I had for them."Small town in Scotland! They're just a small town in Scotland!"

If the pratt of an announcer had announced it just prior to it starting at the same volume as he announces our team perhaps a few more people would have known what it was about and observed it that much quicker.
Mark Posted 13 November 2004 Posted 13 November 2004 The announcer was too concerned getting over excited reading the team out like a little kid.
Benji Posted 13 November 2004 Posted 13 November 2004 to be fair though they have no excuse what is the first thing they see when they come up the stairs? the centre circle! what dumb mo fo doesn't connect when theres players around it heads down, home fans silent and a few fans going sssssssssssh they have no excuse!

I've often spent the time up to the whislte facing the crowd and joining in the singing and repartee. Give them a break they've apologised and were quiet once they'd got over being called Geordie Bastards, I mean that's enough to quieten down any bunch of bevied up fans.
Foxes_Trust Posted 14 November 2004 Posted 14 November 2004 Firstly thanks for your e-mail about this Ben, we have replied. Several posts on the Fox message board from Sunderland fans tonight have apologised. They all state they didn't hear the announcement (which was before the teams were given out) and most say they stopped as soon as they realised what was going on. Some stated they entered the ground quite late. We certainly believe that our PA was at fault, could not understand why it was not stated the silence would now be held just before the ref blew his whistle, which is the normal thing to happen, However from what I heard, having stopped singing, a few Sunderland fans started up again which caused the angry reaction from a City fan calling them Geordies and then all hell broke loose & the ref cut the silence early. I've circulated the idea of requesting the silence again to the other FT board members, we are likely to raise it at the Fans Forum this Thursday.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 14 November 2004 Posted 14 November 2004 Except their not in Scotland..... You don't say. If you were near the away fans then you'd know that was what was sung. Since when have any of the teams that are inserted in that song actually in the places stated? Lighten up mate.
Louise Posted 14 November 2004 Posted 14 November 2004 Whoever's 'fault' it was, the whole thing just made me feel increadibly sad (and to an extent angry). I hope it is retaken, that isn't how we want to remember Keith Weller.
Teeno Posted 14 November 2004 Posted 14 November 2004 I hate the Scottish twats wit ha passion now. What they did was disgracefull and it was quite loud chants and 1 tosser standing there shouting Wankers at thetop of his voice. Dudududu Georide willy puller

Scow Posted 14 November 2004 Posted 14 November 2004 Whoever from our section told them: ''Shut up your Geordie wankers'' didn't help the situation, although they did start up again before that was shouted after a few seconds of peace. With it being Remembrance weekend aswell, they would surely know about having a minute's silence?

I've been to grounds where the PA has announced the silence, or we couldn't hear it, but you can work out what's going on very quickly.
