dandannieldanok Posted 26 July 2006 Posted 26 July 2006 Anyone watched this. Celtic have been truly awful. I would like to see city sign up some of Man Utd's youngsters on loan, some of them are wicked.
Coxy Posted 26 July 2006 Posted 26 July 2006 Celtic's defence have been terrible, and their keeper has a reason not to be happy with them. Like you said some of these young Man Utd players would be worth a look at.
SystonFox Posted 26 July 2006 Posted 26 July 2006 Giuseppi Rossi (FW) and Gerrard Pique (CB)? are two players i have seen for Man UTD in carling cup and early f.a cup games who impressed me. we could maybe get one in on loan?
The People's Hero Posted 26 July 2006 Posted 26 July 2006 That Rossi would be a fantastic loan signing.
Thracian Posted 26 July 2006 Posted 26 July 2006 Missed a simple header from five yards before I got bored to death and switched off. If you think he's good wait til you see Chambers cos I don't think he'd have missed. Mind you I liked the centre-back who scored, Evans wasn't it and the left winger who supplied Rossi's cross looked useful in patches. The only thing worse than watching Celtic was listening to the Celtic-centred commentary. People say our reserves won't hack it at senior level but if that was an example they should have no trouble...
dave_1988 Posted 26 July 2006 Posted 26 July 2006 pretty poor from Celtic but I thought that Sno looked quite good at times. How did they win the SPL last season though!? Maybe Dion has been a massive loss for them... Nice to see Scholes playing for Man. Utd. again and grabbing 2 goals though.
Ultra Posted 26 July 2006 Posted 26 July 2006 3-0 to United. None of their World Cup players were in the side. Celtic look to have serious issues. They've been dismal throughout pre-season and may find it tough to resist a resurgent Rangers in the SPL.
nhfox Posted 26 July 2006 Posted 26 July 2006 Last year, Celtic's early season form was shocking as well. They got thrashed in the first leg of their CL qualifier and were very lucky to earn a draw against Motherwell. Something like 8 or 9 goals were conceded in their first 2 matches and Celtic supporters were already calling for Strachan's head. I think Celtic will be okay -- I don't see Hearts or Rangers taking the SPL away from them this season.
Ultra Posted 27 July 2006 Posted 27 July 2006 But being thrashed at home by Man Utd's THIRD team isn't going to help them. And a midweek jaunt to Japan next week won't make things any better.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 27 July 2006 Posted 27 July 2006 does anyone remember that utd celtic game about 4 years ago when celtic won 4-3 now that was a pre season friendly
Fleckney Fox Posted 27 July 2006 Posted 27 July 2006 yer but nowadays celtic are shocking ( what ive seen- a few games) and i think they are over rated - BIG time
Deathside Posted 27 July 2006 Posted 27 July 2006 Fúck me - it's only a pre-season friendly and yet the highlights (or lowlights if you're a Celtic fan) were on TV here in Singapore
