Taylor 6 - Learn to catch please, did well under pressure at times to punch.

Makin 6 - diabolical first half, redeemed himself 2nd half.

Dabizas 5 - not a lot went right for him today, didnt win much in the air, got decisions against him.

Dublin 6 - shit first half, good the 2nd and scored.

Stewart 7- consistant performance, keep it up.

Morris 4 - never in the game.

Nalis 6 - not pulling the strings like usual, didnt get forward much.

Gemmill 7 - did well to break up attacks and keep things going in midfield.

Gillespie 4 - see morris.

Connolly 5 - never had a look in at goal apart from being fouled by the keeper, should have had a peno.

Scowcroft 7* - won all his headers, held the ball up well and scored a superb diving header.

Williams 7 - a good improvement, plays his best in attacking midfield.

Blake 4 - didnt really get time to make a mark, plus we went defensive.

Did one thing all game, scored. Tackling was wreckless, even his holding up was worse today, his reactions were slow, and looked clumsy throughout the game. The partnership between the two is shocking.

I'd rather have Taylor in goal who might not be confident in catching (but can punch well instead) than Pressman who tries to catch but just flaps at it and concedes stupid goals.

My ratings:

Taylor - 7 (see above, and made a few good saves too)

Makin - 6 (redeemed himself with the cross that Dublin scored from)

Dublin 6.5 (abysmal first half, improved vastly in the 2nd and scored a good header...finally)

Dabizas - 5 (shocking in the 1st half, gave the ball away far too often, got caught out of position in the 2nd half too)

Stewart 7.5 (very good solid performance. Much improved under Levein)

Morris - 4.5 (never in the game, didn't want to get stuck in)

Gemmill - 7 (gotta give credit where it's due, he looked fairly good and chased/tackled well, plus didn't give the ball away much)

Nalis - 7 (another solid performance, although playing left midfield in the 2nd half resulted in a lot of pressure by Argyle down that side)

Gillespie 7 (fantastic cross for Scowy's goal, tried to beat his man quite often, and looked quite sharp)

Connolly - 5 (needs to be dropped now, he is too lightweight and doesn't have much pace about him either. Plus he drifts wide far too much to get the ball when he should stay in his position up front)

Scowy - 6.5 (still don't think he's a natural goalscorer, and he didn't win as many headers today as he should)

Subs:

Williams - 8* (excellent perfomance, top class. supported the attackers better than any other midfielders, made a few challenges, great off the ball runs, and changed the game imo)

Blake - 6 (not a bad performance, although by then we had resorted to all-out-defence mode)

Taylor 7 Very solid perofrmance and fills his goal well.

Makin 5 Poor performance made up for by the cross for the second goal. Where was the communication for their goal?

Dublin 6 Terrible in the first half but great in the second. I do thinkhe cares but he is just out of form.

Dabizas 5 Sooner Levein loses patience the better. He really is as thick as shit and distribution was awful.

Stewart 7 Finally getting some levels of consistency to his game, probably because he is actually playing in his correct position.

Gillespie 7 Probably just about our best player and certainly the only oen who looked like he was going to make things happen. I wonder if he should have been on the cover for their goal.

Nalis 6 Kept it ticking over okay but I hjave seen him play better this season.

Gemmill Does a job but has clear limitations. I think we need a defencive midfiekder with good distribution when we havew the funds available.

Morris 3 Not even close to being fit and there is no way he should have started considering his condition.

Connolly 4 No pace at all and wayward passing. I am begining to have serious doubts about his ability

Scowcroft 6 Nice flick ons and a few lovely touches but in and out of the game too much.

*************Subs***********

Blake 6 #### hell he has lost a lot of weight.

Williams 7 Judging from his form he should have started. Finally looke hungry for the ball.

He held the ball up very well and won all his headers, yes he did put reckless challenges in, but dont most strikers? get over your hatred for scowcroft, hes the best striker we have.

Gemmill doesn't warrant a rating then?

Taylor 7 - Punched too many times when he could have perhaps catched the ball on occasions. Decent save towards the end though.

Makin 5 - Set up the goal, but seemed to get caught out defensively too many times.

Dabizas 5 - Awful first half, did better second half. Gives way too many free kicks, and often plays wasteful passes.

Dublin 6 - Same as Dabizas, but improved second half and won quite a bit in the air at the back.

Stewart 7 - Seems to be improving all the time. However, he was caught out for their goal, but he generally played well on the left flank. Still needs to work on his crosses.

Gillespie 6 - Put two great crosses in throughout the game, one ending up in Scowy scoring a goal. Tried hard, looked threatening at times, probably still needs some match practice to get back to his best, maybe.

Nalis 5 - Looked off the pace at times, gave the ball away cheaply.

Gemmill 5 - Same as Nalis, too slow in the midfield, and lost quite a few 50/50's.

Morris 4 - Non effective really. Knocked off the ball far too easily.

Connolly 4 - Poor game, didn't create anything, and often gave the ball away in promising positions. Spends too much time on the left flank attempting to create his own chances.

Scowcroft 7 - Didn't receive any great service, but did his best. Held up the ball well, showed some great touches, killing it dead from high balls. Well taken goal.

Subs:

Williams 7 - Played well, looked for the ball and tried to make things happen. Was fairly competitive and got about the pitch well.

Blake 3 - Did nothing....

Taylor - 7 - Made some cood saves and looked generally commanding. Maybe should catch a few more than punching, but a solid performance.

Makin - 5 - Occasional moments of good forward work, overlapping. Caught out too many times defensively, positioning is piss poor. Canero for me still.

Dabizas - 5 - Not commanding in the air and on the ground he gives strikers too much space or he decides to foul them. Someone else play, please! :o

Dublin - 5 - Crap first half, no positional sense whatever it would seem. Improved greatly in the second half and a good header for his goal :o

Stewart - 7 - Keeps improving :D Used some of his tricks to good effect today :o A real asset to the side when he is on this form, keep it up Gordon.

Gillespie - 7 - Seemed to be relishing his chance :D Did well thoughout I though (apart from getting sucked inside a few times) worked his socls off :o and a great cross for the first goal.

Gemmill - 5 - Needs someone faster alongside him, some good passes but not energetic or aware enough.

Nalis - 6 - Could do with a quicker playing alongside him too. Kept things moving though with his usual good passing and unlucky not to score after his curler was tipped around the post (given as a goal kick  )

Morris - 4 - Couldn't get into the game, touch let him down a lot, still seems a fair way off full fitness. Right ot be taken off.

Connolly - 5 - Touch was crap iin the first half, let us down a lot. Improved in the second half and played some good balls too. Still isn't looking like a striker, but if we win, who cares who scores?

Scowcroft - 7 - Won a lot in the air, not as much as a lot of games as he was up against two powerful centre halves in Coughlan and Doumbe. His touch was still good and he brought other players into the game. Cracking header for the first goal.

Subs:

Williams - 8 - Looked class when he came on :D Seemed to be given a license t roam where he liked behind thr front two. Did it well and worked his socks off too getting back and going forwards. Gread defnding in the end too, getting a war wound to show for it too, hope he is ok! Well done Gareth :D

Blake - 5 - Couldn't really get into the game, but took his offside goal well, unlucky to get booked.

So why do you moan?

It just shows that if we can get decent crosses in, Scowy will score the odd goal..

Who gives a **** about his tackling? Thats not a strikers job anyway <_<

I say well done Scowy, for scoring the equaliser B) ^_^

Taylor 8 - confident, made some good saves, far better than Pressman

Makin 5 - nothing special at his performance

Stewart 7 - getting better at getting past defenders, good performance

Dabizas 4 - how can someone with 65 international caps be this bad? often struggled to clear the ball, didn't work with Dublin well

Dublin 6 - poor defending in first half, got better in second half, good goal

Gillespie 6 - growing in confidence, a few crosses

Morris 5 - fairly involved until the end of the first half, didn't make any significant contribution though

Gemmill 6 - generally good, worked hard

Nalis 6 - he can play better than this, but overall good performance

Connolly 3 - terrible, timed his runs very badly, often struggled to control the ball

Scowcroft 6 - not impressed in first half, didn't make the most of chances but improved in second, good goal

Subs:

Williams 6 - not bad for someone coming back from injury

Blake 5 - no notable contribution
