Stevosevic Posted 9 September 2006 Posted 9 September 2006 Jimmy Bullard has suffered a horrific injury apparently in the 1st half today. Scott Parker fell and Bullard's knee bent the wrong way! great bloke, is likely to be out for the season if not worse.

Maybes Posted 9 September 2006 Posted 9 September 2006 Apparently it's not as bad as first feared. Coleman on SSN Shame about his hair doo mind.
Jay Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 dislocated Knee Cap OUCH!! looked like on tv that his knee cap travelled half way round his leg
lcfc_jme Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 Yeah saw it on MOTD last night. Looked quite sickening tbh. Parker was clearly upset as well after doing it - quite the opposite to a certain Mr Ben Thatcher. Chris Coleman was on Goals on Sunday this morning and said that it wasn't as bad as he first feared (a few seasons out or career-ending), but Jimmy could be missing for a while still. Sad news as he was in impressive form and he is actually a nice, genuine bloke.
Maybes Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 Just seen it on MOTD which i recorded from last night. It looked very nasty. Top marks to parker though for his sympathy.
lcfc_jme Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 Parker is winning praise from everybody for the way he conducted himself after hurting Bullard yesterday. That was true professionalism and sportsmanship at its finest imo, great to see.
john_lcfc Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 i like jimmy bullard, seems like such a character and a great player
lookwhaticando Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 Still can't believe he chose Fulham over Wigan. Hope he's alright tho.
dandannieldanok Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 Still can't believe he chose Fulham over Wigan. Hope he's alright tho. Maybe Fulham were paying more or he wanted a different challenge. I think he will be able to shine more at Fulham than Wigan. Shame about the injury.
lcfc_jme Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 I think it'd have to be a bit of both. He's already gone through one season in the Prem and looked impressive in a newly promoted side. What's the next step? Playing football in an established Prem side that can afford to pay you a little more money. It'll also enable him to shine at a different club and show he can adapt to new surroundings - helping him on the international front, which is what he wants.
Jay Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 Maybe Fulham were paying more or he wanted a different challenge. I think he will be able to shine more at Fulham than Wigan. Shame about the injury. he was born in Essex as well so he probably has family connections down that way
lcfc_jme Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 he was born in Essex as well so he probably has family connections down that way The only player I know of in recent times that moved because of family was David James. Didn't he move to Pompey cos of advice from his mother?!?
Alexikokopops Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 The only player I know of in recent times that moved because of family was David James. Didn't he move to Pompey cos of advice from his mother?!? Don't forget Iain Dowie's move from Crystal Palace to be closer to his family in Preston
lcfc_jme Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 Even though he ended up at Charlton!! Yes I remember that one also... But i did originally say "player" and not gaffer
Louise Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 I'm sure you all want to see it again... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7uydkrbk4Y
lcfc_jme Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 Cheers for that, his leg looks real pretty after that challenge, especially in slow motion
filbertway Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 I hope he recovers well and its not as bad as it looks, he seems a bit of a legend. I bet soccer AM have him back soon.
lcfc_jme Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 SoccerAM love Jimmy Bullard, and seeing as he isn't going to be competing for a while, I wouldn't be too suprised to see him on there in the near future.
lookwhaticando Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 The only player I know of in recent times that moved because of family was David James. Didn't he move to Pompey cos of advice from his mother?!? His fiancee lives down there. Never heard the mother bit, it could be true though - mothers
lcfc_jme Posted 10 September 2006 Posted 10 September 2006 His fiancee lives down there. Never heard the mother bit, it could be true though - mothers  I heard he took the advice of his mummy , guess that was just a tabloid story though
