Assuming Kelly sticks with 4-4-2, which I think is pretty safe as far as assumptions go, and presuming that Weso is the first name on the teamsheet as far as the midfield goes, who should partner him? I know Porter and Hume in particular probably aren't viable options but they're there for a greater choice. It's all theoretical anyway within the existing framework of 4-4-2.

Toss up between Williams and Johnson. Both are far too inconsistent to confidently pick one to be first choice all the while. I think it's a case of motivating and getting the best out of them and replacing them in the team at the first hint of them having a shocker.

Do you really think Weso is the first name on the teamsheet? For Kelly? I'd still imagine the first choice pairing is actually Johnson & Williams?

I don't think so. It was Johnson and Williams against Luton and Burnley. Kelly has shown he's not afraid to change things when they don't work i.e. bringing in Porter, dropping Stearman and Hume. I don't think he will go back to Johnson and Williams when Weso has made such a positive impact already.

Fingers crossed anyway.

I'd love to see Williams get his act together and actually put in a decent performance for us with Weso at CM. I think with both of those players on top of their games we'd actually look pretty impressive in midfield

It all changes doesn't it? Weso looked first choice when Kelly became caretaker manager, but injury put paid to that after 3 games.

As with most youngsters, they often have to earn the right to be first choice and the manager is often cautious of putting too much pressure on them by demanding them to deliver. But Wesolowski always impresses when he's fit and Kelly finds it hard not to play him and it's great news for us because we finally have a midfielder who can tackle, pass, run and be influential all at a high level.

Plus to have the character and mental strength to come back from 2 serious injuries

A few people wondered if he'd be the "old"Weso but from what I've seen of late, nothing's changed.

Perhaps we should call him "Bones" not just for his own broken legs but for the residue after his tackles.

NONE!

I really think its about time the board invested just a little bit of money (few hundred grand) and we go down to the league below and buy ourselves a 23 - 26 year old with a bit of flair, a good passing range and attacking prowess.

They need to speculate to acumulate (ouch....cheesy)

Mark Jones from Wrexham.

Its between Hughes and Williams for me.

Probably Williams. ;)

Think there both as good going forward but Hughes is to soft to play there.

I'd have to go for Williams just to see how he performs whilst somebody is doing his share of ball-winning as well. If not, I'd revert back to Johnson and Weso, as they did well enough against the Mackems.

Yes in League Two :D

pointless discussion any way as they'd want a fair bit of cash for him.

For a midfielder though to score goals on a regular basis you've got to be prepared to push forward and be positive, it doesn't matter what league your in. Although i'm not for one minute suggesting just because he scores in League Two he'd automatically do it at Championship level but I think there is a chance he could. I've seen him play a few times and scored in every game i've seen him, which I suppose will always mean i'm going to be impressed as i've never seen him play badly.

Wrexham are skint, if we had £150k (which we haven't) then he'd be ours easily.

This was my point. :D

Not a great deal of money either, which is the most annoying thing.

From a reliable source

Leicester must be in a bit of financial trouble again as they didn't pay police bill and were going to have legal action taken against them until they produced a last minute cheque.

I thought we were in a stable financial position ? Obviously not

They've probably been advised to not pay bills until the last minute so they can earn as much interest as possible from the impending outgoings. Or we are seriously in the shite, definately the latter. :D

Well if it's the first it could prove counter-productive if they piss off the police they might find a bigger presence being recommended at future games

To me it's appalling that the police have any right to dictate the viability of football matches or anything else with financially threatening or negative recommendations. Gates are dropping anyway.
