Anish Posted 9 December 2004 Posted 9 December 2004 Why would anyone vote for Pressman or Logan when we have Taylor and Walker?? Poor poll!

Muz Posted 9 December 2004 Author Posted 9 December 2004 I think Walker will leave in the summer anyway. There is no need to keep him if we get Taylor. Although , he has been a good servent to the club. He'l most likely go to somebody like Palace or Millwall defo a london team
Cat Burger Posted 9 December 2004 Posted 9 December 2004 Considering we wont keep be able to keep Taylor permanently I've picked Walks.
shen Posted 9 December 2004 Posted 9 December 2004 Considering we wont keep be able to keep Taylor permanently I've picked Walks. 45250[/snapback] Good lad!!... Walks is gonna catch up!! Ian has been very good to this club.. and fair play to Peter T***** who did bring him in..

I think, realistically, if Stuart Taylor contunues to impress, come January he will go somewhere else. WE HAVE NO MONEY!!!
Sparky Posted 9 December 2004 Posted 9 December 2004 taylor for me , walker is in twilight of his career and although he has been a brilliant keeper for us i think taylor could be a great long term keeper . i dont think arsenal are that bothered if he leaves and im sure we could fund a perminent deal
Wellman Posted 9 December 2004 Posted 9 December 2004 taylor for me, i agree with muz, Walker will leave at the end of the season
shen Posted 9 December 2004 Posted 9 December 2004 Just because Walker might leave doesn't mean I prefer Taylor though... after all, he's only been in goal for 3 games, and it's not as if Walker couldn't produce the saves that Taylor has up to now... Apart from Walkers dodgy period last winter, he's been extremely consistant throughout his Leicester career, and that's what you want from a keeper..
Teeno Posted 9 December 2004 Posted 9 December 2004 I voted Taylor, can't see Walks staying at the end of the year so lets build for the future!
Anish Posted 9 December 2004 Posted 9 December 2004 Come on folks, own up. Who voted Pressman?? Walker has been an excellent keeper and has been a good servent to the club, but he will inevitably leave in the summer when his extortionate contract comes to an end and we won't be offering the same wages to him. Taylor has a lot to prove still and probably has more hunger and desire to impress.
MON Posted 9 December 2004 Posted 9 December 2004 Walker any damn day. Take a look around, have u missed the past 3 years, walker is englands nuber one! Taylor yes lets sign him aswell, but we need to do our upmost to keep Walks, if we go up.

Thats the second time you've said about the last 3 years. People are entitled to opinions and i think your 3 yeard behind of you feel Walker is englands number one. Didnt you go any matches last season? Taylor anyday.
Louise Posted 9 December 2004 Posted 9 December 2004 Voted Walker Can't understand the argument that you might as well vote for Taylor because Walks will be gone in the summer, Taylor could be gone in January. As for Walks being in the twilight of his career he's just turned 33, he's got a few more years in him yet...

I would like both, and yeh i went all the home games, wloves game away, United away, Liverpool away, Arsenal away, Spurs away. ( we didnt win any ) Walker was good until february time, then had a blip for 5/6 weeks. But he is still a better keeper then Taylor. I have not see Taylor can do that walker can't. Eventhough he's only play 3 games. Taylors kicking can also be wayward. Ian can be at this club for the next 2/3 years and still do well.

With Robinson and Kirkland around he wont be playing for England again. Now whether Taylors a better bet only time will tell, he obviously has age on his side and to quote his kicking as a comparison to Walker is a none starter in my view as Walkers kicking borders on the hopeless as for his throwing well I can't say I've ever seen him do that much. Shot stopping wise, crosses wise, catching etc well I dont' 'think we've seen enough of Taylor to judge.

His command of his area and his catching were top notch too against Leeds. His kicking defo needs work though

Anyhow I do not think that Walker would demand such a big money contract this time if it were to be renewed, and it's certain that he woouldn't get it. I think he's both clever and loyal enough to want to stay at this club for the remainder of his career, he wouldn't get in the first team of any club that is better than us IMO I think he is the best keeper we've had for a long time, better than Flowers
Guest Daniel Posted 9 December 2004 Posted 9 December 2004 Kirkland, got the biggest average of goals let in per game. Over-rated. Poor keeper.

It's fair to say that people have only got an impression of Taylor, but it's much too early to judge if he's good enough. Walker has only really had 1 blip during his time here, which is consistency at the highest level. Maybe his blip and his recent injury is a sign that things are going downhill for him, but as long as Taylor has impressed enough and got a permanent deal, Walks is still #1 for me. I'm happy to see Taylor doing well though, and hopefully his stay will bear fruit somehow...
