pompeydon Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Hey there, i thought i would leave some notes about Milan, and why he would be good for your club. Firstly, reading all forums, Leicester are not hated more than Scum, you just seem to get the upper hand when playing us...... But hey its a game of footy right?? Personally, I asked Milan to come and talk to fans from a Pompey fans site (www.pompeyonline.com) back in 2004. The man came, talked for two hours about direction of the club, signed autographs, and we never got charged by the club and the man was so polite and most importantly..... gave his opinion on what to be done, never hid, or avoided hard questions. If he went to Leicester, he would turn things round, with mainly financial support in wages... so you could get good players in and he would cover wages a little more, and did that with Pompey. I would welcome Leicester back in the Prem, as your ground is good, i enjoy going to Walkers, and if you take 6 points from our neighbours, that would be fine!!! We have lost a great chairman, and a friend of the fans. If he came to you, I am sure he will be the same with you as he was with us. Good luck this season.
Tommeh Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 thanks for that mate Got a feeling we're relying on him now. With him we could be premier league in 2 years without him it's hard to see a way forward and to continue struggling in the lower reaches of the championship. Great start to the season I hope you can stay up there you've always been my fave prem club in the last few seasons because of your fantastic support keep it up!

I'd love to see MM come and talk to us, so we can iron a few things out and shut up a select few people on here that moan about everything... I reckon that without him, we're well and truly doomed. Our financial situation is disgraceful, we can neither compete in the transfer market nor afford to take a risk with anything. We're in a downward spiral and I reckon we'll do worse than Forest if we go down. I'd love us to be back in the Prem. We're a Premiership club and that's where we belong, it's just atm because of our financial situation and league position, we can't attract quality players, so we're doing poorly with bad ones. Also, our tactics are completely wrong for this division. We are employing saftey tactics in a league where you need to be positive, to go out and attack, play teams off the park and score bag-fulls of goals. Impressed with the start to the season your lot have had, Redknapp is an immense manager and capable of great things. Just hope it doesn't all fizzle out for you too soon. Good luck with your season
Foxes_Trust Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 How would one go about doing that?? I'd love to see MM come and talk to us, so we can iron a few things out and shut up a select few people on here that moan about everything... The Chief Exec/Chairman do that & only around 50 fans turn up, so few moaning minnies actually do so face to face. In contrast the Trust doesn't criticise on message boards, but does in face to face meetings, which do you think achieves more?

Only thing i have against Portsmouth is the "Play up Pompy,Pompy Play up!" chant, although you do seem to come across louder then any other fans in the prem, you were also quite loud at the walkers on that last game of the season in 2004 was it?till we bagged 4 goals past you.Good luck for the season anyway.
lcfc_jme Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 The Chief Exec/Chairman do that & only around 50 fans turn up, so few moaning minnies actually do so face to face. In contrast the Trust doesn't criticise on message boards, but does in face to face meetings, which do you think achieves more? I reckon organising a meeting such as this would do the fans some good - it'd let everybody know what was going on for definite and put everything into perspective. I'd definitely turn up for it as it's a matter which greatly interests me, and I'd be quite concerned if all the people posting in the MM thread didn't turn up. The trust criticising and getting points across face to face in meetings is definitely a good thing, but some people don't understand/know this 'cos they don't see/hear these meetings, but only see you (being 1 person, not an entire group) sticking up for Ultra in his pessimisstic posts on occasions... Would you oppose a MM takeover yourselves then?? 'Cos if you would I reckon you'd be daft
Daggers Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Oh for the ability to check on pompeydon's legitimacy
lcfc_jme Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Oh for the ability to check on pompeydon's legitimacy Seem to be in quite a cranky mood on this dull, dreary evening DB.. What's going on with you ???
Daggers Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Seem to be in quite a cranky mood on this dull, dreary evening DB.. What's going on with you ??? Me? Cranky? I'm full of the joys of a man not having to work but just study for the next five years until the PhD comes through! Me? I just don't believe stuff until there's a modicum of fact!

I just don't believe stuff until there's a modicum of fact! Ahh right you are Have to say when I first read about it on the BBC website I was dead chuffed, but then I saw it had come from the Mercury and my optimism vanished and I went back to cautious. Still, I guess only time will tell Good to hear you're still your usual self though (note how I got the words in bold right?? )

lcfc_jme Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Yea...'Young Person Uses Correct Words'...I can see the Sunday papers alweady! The Sunday Papers are probably the only place you'd see that sort of stuff. They only print nonsense and things that are completely useless to everybody else After all, that's where this MM story first surface...
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 The Chief Exec/Chairman do that & only around 50 fans turn up, so few moaning minnies actually do so face to face. In contrast the Trust doesn't criticise on message boards, but does in face to face meetings, which do you think achieves more? Well they seem to taken kindly to our ticket deal suggestions, and also the handing out of free tickets at schools. So either your knicking our ideas or they are Either way, don't critize us you achieve fook all.

So either your knicking our ideas or they are Either way, don't critize us you achieve fook all. I don't think that's fair MP. Tickets to schools has been a marketing ploy stretching back years and the FT actually have a voice on the board...so how is that achieving FA? Pay your money, state what you want to be achieved, vote or let it go.
Swedging Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 I'm full of the joys of a man not having to work but just study for the next five years until the PhD comes through! 5 years full-time? University will be cross.

In contrast the Trust doesn't criticise on message boards, but does in face to face meetings, which do you think achieves more? Fu ck me, you're a patronising so and so. Some of us aren't in the area and simply can't do the face to face stuff which you get the opportunity to do. This is a forum about LCFC. People can be positive or negative, that's what its all about... debate, discussion, consensus on some things, big differences of opinion on others. You're immensely patronising and it just supports the view which I've held for a long time, which is whoever you are, you feel that know you're the Foxes Trust, you've got the namebadge and a bi-monthly (whatever) meeting with a board who doesn't listen to you, you think the job is done and that you're above all other fans.

Had some great banter with you lot , is pompeyscot still around ?
Daggers Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 5 years full-time? University will be cross. Got to finish this one first...
Ultra Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 The Chief Exec/Chairman do that & only around 50 fans turn up, so few moaning minnies actually do so face to face. In contrast the Trust doesn't criticise on message boards, but does in face to face meetings, which do you think achieves more? Familiarity breeds contempt, which is why few fans are enthused by the prospect of an audience with Tim & Co. If Mandaric WAS interested, and wanted to sound a few fans out, I'd give him a couple of hours (at least) to hear him out. I suspect I'm not the only Trust member who would do so. He could easily fill the Half-Time Orange, if not a bigger venue.

pompeydon Posted 7 October 2006 Author Posted 7 October 2006 Whats wrong with the Pompey Chimes? Its tradition for us. And it was 3 goals, dont get yourselves too hyped up. I remember that day, because we were safe and Leicester were down, but Leicester played well, and deserved the 3 points. FAO BMR - Yes he is still around, i remember ya, long time no see pal!! Guys i am only giving an insight on what Milan is like, becuase the guy is genuine. Dont listen to the media, because he only does what he feels is right. Like the time he decided not to pay players, after a dismal performance, the fans were behind him also.... I hope he goes to Leicester, because then you will know things will be up for you all. Only thing i have against Portsmouth is the "Play up Pompy,Pompy Play up!" chant, although you do seem to come across louder then any other fans in the prem, you were also quite loud at the walkers on that last game of the season in 2004 was it?till we bagged 4 goals past you.Good luck for the season anyway.
pompeydon Posted 7 October 2006 Author Posted 7 October 2006 I just went and asked him one evening, talked to the club, and we had a great night... Had time for us, thats what was special, were werent the official supporters club, we were an internet forum........ but he came. Proudest moment was hearing the applause becuase I knew we would have a great evening, and i am sure if he does go to Leicester, you will also. How would one go about doing that?? I'd love to see MM come and talk to us, so we can iron a few things out and shut up a select few people on here that moan about everything... I reckon that without him, we're well and truly doomed.
